Birthday Wishes!

The Creative Charms Kit of the Month for December is perfect for creating this Winter Birthday Card.  For the card base I used White Bazzill card stock and edged the bottom with the MS Snowflake border punch.  The Snowflake from the Kit of the Month was embellished with the snowflake and stars from the Winter Seasonal Sparkles with another snowflake added to the corner of the sentiment.  The DP is from Authentique Journey collection and the solid card stock is Night of Navy and the sentiment is from Watercolor Tri stamp set both from StampinUp

Winter Display Tray

Hi, it's Diane today and I hope you had a wonderful holiday!  After working with so much red and green for the Christmas season, it's fun to shift into Winter projects.  This little display tray is a great accent on a shelf or table and can stay up long after the Christmas decorations come down.

I used some snowflakes from the Winter Seasonal Medley and the Winter Seasonal Sparkles and then added Gradient Gem stickers to the centers for additional dimension and color.

In the three bottom squares, I added some Sequined Flowers along with flowers from the Sparkly Garden Brads and more snowflakes from the Winter Seasonal Medley.  The teardrop shape gems from the blue Vintage Jewels make lovely corner accents.

If you'd like to see more details about this project, please visit my personal blog, Capadia Designs.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays and have a Happy New Year!

Feeling Playful

Morning everyone!  Lisa here.

There is just something about Christmas that makes me feel young(er) LOL  I love watching my girls open their presents and the joy that lights up their faces.

I thought I would share a playful layout with you today.  One of the things I love about Creative Charms products is the versatility.  I can go from making vintage, shabby cards to layouts like this:

The Braided Daisies are perfect for this layout of my daughter jumping on the trampoline.  I love the bright colors and playful feel. They would be perfect for those layouts about all you kids new toys too. :)  Have a wonderful New Year everyone!!!

Hey y'all and Merry Christmas! Aymee Gandy of 'A Scraphappy Southernbelle' here with you on this frosty day! How are you doing? I hope you are having a great week! Can you believe Christmas is almost here?!!! Hooray! It's the most wonderful time of the year! My husband and I will be traveling to our home in Alabama to see our families for the holidays. I am so excited to see everyone! I am loading up our 'sleigh' with lots of gifts for the family and I decided to add handmade gift tags to a few of the presents. I used goodies from Creative Charms to create these gift tags that I would like to share with you today. Here we go...

"Brrrr" Gift Tag

Creative Charms Supplies Used:
Velvet Ric Rac-Royal Blue
I used strips of ribbon to create a trim for the bottom of my tag and vintage jewels for my 'christmas tree.'
For the top of the tag, I used some polka dot ribbon and a gradient gem brad. I also used the 'brrr' sentiment from the Seasonal Sparkles sticker set.
"Winter" Gift Tag

Creative Charms Supplies Used:
Brown & White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon
For the top of the tag, I used polka dot ribbon and a vintage brad.
I added a star embellishment from the Seasonal Sparkles set to the hat of Santa Claus.
For the bottom, another fabulous sticker from the Seasonal Sparkles set. I love these blingy words! They shimmer so pretty on a gift box under a lit tree.
"Snow" Gift Tag

Creative Charms Supplies Used:
Blue &White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon
I added snowflake stickers from the Seasonal Sparkles sticker set on top of the snowflakes on my patterned paper for that extra bit of dimension and bling.
More bling from the Seasonal Sparkles sticker set.
Again on the top, I went with velvet ric rac and a vintage brad.
I hope you have enjoyed these tags! Have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year!

December Kit Sneak - Ornament by Erika

I'm head over heels in love with the December Kit of the Month. It is filled with some of my favorite Creative Charms Treasures and I wanted to share with you an ornament I created using a few of these treasures.

Hi Everyone! Erika Taylor here today to share with you a glass ornament I altered, using a few pieces from the December Kit of the Month. I'm loving these Seasonal Sparkle Stickers that are in the kit. They pair up perfectly with the pretty butterflies.

So here you are, a few photos of the ornament.  I hope you like it.

For the inside of the ornament, I used ivory acrylic paint, Helmar Premium Craft Glue and blue glitter. Love how it turned out. Almost looks like a little snow storm in there.

This next picture really showcases the beautiful blue colors of the embellishments against the ornament itself.

Well that is it for me today. I hope you all have a safe and happy Holiday Season. May the light shine brightly for you and your loved ones

Until next time
Seasons Greetings

Deal of the Month Sneak Peak

Hello, Liz today. I have a sneak peak for you using the December Deal of the Month. This month the package is full of wonderful blue and white embellies that are sure to delight. I used the blue charms against red patterned paper to make them really stand out.

My favorites from the Deal of the Month are the Sparkly Garden Butterfly brads and the Seasonal Medly sequined flowers. Talk about cute!

I also added white and blue Sparkled Flowers.

Have a Merry Christmas!

Creative Charms meets Tim Holtz

Erin here today! I am finishing up wrapping all of my Christmas packages. This is the best part! I love sparkly ribbon, pretty paper and embellishments and of course, making the tags. Today I am posting a tag made from the inspiration of Tim Holtz 12 Tags of Christmas project. His tags are so fabulous! I love trying out new and different techniques.

The bottom vintage brads are Creative Charms and you can find them here. They were perfect for Tim's vintage feel of the tag.
I hope everyone is ready for Christmas! Have a great holiday season.

Frosty the Snowman?

We all know that Frosty was a jolly, happy soul, and so he is on this card!  This stamp is from JustRite Stamps and he was colored with copics.  Used Spellbinder dies to cut out and mat the snowman.  Used the Vintage Blue Flower  buttons because they reminded me of snowflakes!

Here is a close up of Frosty and his frosty flakes.  I also love the look of the lacy snow on the card.  Just the right touch.

Ornaments and Games

Hi, it's Diane today with a couple of "off the page" projects to share.  When choosing Creative Charms embellishments, I think most people plan to use them for cards and scrapbook pages.  Sometimes it is fun to think outside of the box and find other ways to use your Creative Charms treasures.

These glittered ornaments have been popular for several years.  If you don't know how to make them you can check THIS POST on my personal blog for directions.  The ornaments are often decorated with vinyl initials and words.  I used some of the leafy ribbon from the Fuzzy Daisy Kit, two colors of Gradient Gem Stickers and some of the brown Velvet Ric Rac ribbon for this ornament.

The Vintage Metal Frames make great playing pieces for a game.  I used two of the Christmas sets to make this tic-tac-toe game.

I punched 3/4 inch circles to adhere to the frames and cover the adhesive.  You can easily attach the pieces to a slightly larger base if you would like to.

You can even store the playing pieces in one of the little organza bags that sometimes come with the large Creative Charms butterflies.

If you would like more detailed directions for these projects, please visit my blog, Capadia Designs.  These are quick and easy projects when you have the Creative Charms items to work with.

I hope you have fun thinking of some new ways to use your Creative Charms embellishments - be sure to leave a comment and tell us what you make when you start thinking "off the page."

Have a very Merry Christmas!

Dress Up Your Holiday Packages

Morning everyone!  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

Can you believe that Christmas is only 13 days away??? If you are like me, you have WAY too many gifts to wrap.  I thought I would share some great ways to dress up your Christmas packages using Creative Charms.

I found these great boxes of chocolates at Target.  Each box holds three pieces of candy.  They are oh so cute and the perfect price for my daughter's many middle school teachers.  I started by wrapping each of of the boxes in kraft paper and wrapping them with ribbon.  Super simple right???   Then I just embellished each with some of the great products from Creative Charms.

For my packages I used a gorgeous velvet poppy, Seasonal Sparkles, Twinkle Stickers and Vintage Christmas Frames.

These three packages only took me minutes to wrap but they all look so festive.  I love them!  Now only 5 to go! :P   LOL

Have a wonderful week!

Christmas Tags & Gift Box

Hi everyone, Amy McCabe here. I made a Matchbox with Tags as a gift for a crafty friend. The Creative Charms embellishments were the perfect touch and I used quite a few different ones on my tags.

Here is my box - it is a matchbox style. The poinsettia is embellished with Gradient Pearls. The box is from SVG Cuts Crisp Days of Fall Kit.

The box slides open and inside I have three tags perfect for Christmas gifts.

The first tag is my Santa Tag. I used Gradient Gems to accent the Santa image. Santa paper and background paper is from BoBunny.

The second tag is my Red & Green Tag. The Vintage Jewel Brads were a perfect fit for this tag. I did some embossing of the AC Cardstock.

Last but not least is my Snowman Tag. I used the Vintage Christmas Self-Adhesive Metal Frames for this one.
I cut the snowman along with all the other images on my Cricut using SCAL.
The snowman is actually a freebie from SVG Cuts.

These were so fun to put together - I think I may put together a bunch more as little gifts for crafty friends!
