June Kit of the Month - Red, White and Blue for You!

Hi!  Happy Monday to you!!!  Sandra here with my last post on this blog as a Creative Charms designer :o(.  This has been a blast and a great experience for me. Special thanks goes out to Midori, our dynamite Creative Charms Design Team Coordinator for all of the help and encouragement.  Everyone that I have worked with on the Creative Charms design team has been fantastic and are wonderfully talented ladies.  Thanks to all of you and to all of you followers for your kind words and support!  As for the Creative Charms product - I have loved everything that I have had the opportunity to work with and I know that I will continue to purchase Creative Charms products for my projects!

I am not sure if I did not want this experience to come to an end or there are just so many great embellishments in the June Kit of the Month but I just kept creating projects!  I have three to share with you today on my farewell blog post.

The first is a quick gift card holder that I created for my son to give to the principal on the last day of school.

Inside (which I forgot to take a picture of) is a pocket on the left for a gift card and a place for a handwritten message on the right.  I used three of the little Red Itsy Glitsy flowers from the kit to enhance the scrollwork on the stamped image.

The next card is a Thinking of you card.  I am going to make several more cards with different sentiments and donate them to our troops.  God Bless our Troops!

For the front of the card I used the George and Basic Shapes cartridge to cut two rectangles that I made into a frame and the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge to cut out the grass and drew in stems for the flowers.  I used various flowers from the kit to create three layered flowers.  I also used three of the Red Itsy Glitsy  flowers from the kit - two in the grass and one on the butterfly.  The frame and the butterfly are popped!

I left the inside of the card blank for a personal message or letter.

My final project that I would like to share is a double page layout.  I typically do not do this, but I created a layout for pictures that I have not yet taken.  Every year we have a 4th of July party and when I saw this line of paper from Reminisce I knew exactly what I was going to do with it.  I prepared a fireworks layout ready for photos!

I loved the fireworks sticker sheet but wanted to add some bling to them so I cut each loop of three braided daisies, used Diamond Stickles (on the red daisy) and Navy Blue Stickles (on the blue daisies) to bling them up and used a glue dot to adhere the transformed daisies to the centers of each firework sticker!

It is not too late for you to order June Kit of the Month - Red, White & Blue for You and a lot of other great embellishments at www.creativecharms.com!

Purple + Lime Green = Tink Colors!!!

Hello!  Sandra here with my first project for June.  I must first apologize for the delay in posting today.  Our server was malfunctioning and therefore we had no Internet access!  Obviously the problem has been fixed because here I am!  Yay!!! :o)

This is my last month as a member of the fabulous Creative Charms design team (sniff, sniff).  I love this hobby and I am honored to have been chosen for this team and to have the opportunity to create using such wonderful embellishments!

I wanted to create a little something that I will be hanging in my scrapbook room to commemorate my time as a Creative Charms designer.

I started with the Creative Charms logo and a 10” X 10” shadow box.  I love the bright lime green and vibrant grape purple colors in the logo (I call this color combo Tink colors!) and of course my imagination started to run wild with all of the great green and purple embellishment choices that Creative Charms has to offer!

A couple of close ups:
A closer look at the Creative Charms logo blinged up with Pure Blossoms, Gradient Gem Stickers and a Vintage Gem in each corner!  I used my Gypsy-Expression combo and the Lyrical Letters font to add the Designer for to the logo.

Steeler Bling!

Happy Monday to you!  Sandra here to share my designer's choice project for today.

Thinking of Hines and Kym preparing for the Dancing with the Stars finale I was inspired to do a Steelers layout.  Thanks to my fantastic sister I had the wonderful opportunity to attend my very first Pittsburgh Steelers game last fall!  As a lifelong Steelers fan this was a dream come true for me!!!

My sister and I started our day "tailgating" at a Champagne brunch at the Rivers Casino - can you say mimosa?  I did! :o)  We then tried our luck at the slots for a little while before we walked from the casino to Heinz Field.  Along the way to the stadium we were snapping pictures (we are scrapbookers you know) and during one of the handoffs we fumbled the camera and it hit the sidewalk. Well, that was the end of that camera so all of the photos from inside the stadium were taken with our cell phones.  Even though my beloved Steelers lost by three the experience was fabulous!

You know that I love, love, love all of the great bling products that Creative Charms has to offer so it goes without saying that I had to bling up my layout using Creative Charms Vintage Jewels in Steeler logo colors and some Gradient Gem Stickers.

I created a pocket in the lower left side of the page for my ticket and blinged it with three Vintage Jewels.
I used the Amber Gradient Gem Stickers (the medium and small) to create the bling football and added three more Vintage Jewels for the logo.

I may change out the Amber Vintage Jewels in the logos for a Vintage Jewels - CLEAR colored with a yellow Copic Marker.  I always keep clear gems on hand just in case I need to color them with Copics to get the exact shade that I want for my project.

Bling + Polka Dot Ribbon = Memories of Minnie

My projects for the month of May are classified as “Designer's Choice” - this means that I get to choose whatever Creative Charms goodies I want to work with!  So exciting!!!  If you have been following my blog you know that one of my favorite Creative Charms  products are the Gradient Gem Stickers.  I am telling you - they are fabulous!  I am proud to report that I own at least one pack of every color!!! :o)

Dear friends of mine are currently in Walt Disney world and I am dreaming of the day that we can return to that wonderfully magical land!  I guess that dream, Creative Charms Gradient Gem Stickers and Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon is what inspired the layout I am sharing with you today.

I have loved all of the character meals that I have been so lucky to experience and I think they are the best way to meet and greet the characters.  Chef Mickey’s is one of my absolute favorites.  We always have a blast and the food is great!

My little man smiled from ear to ear when his love, Minnie Mouse, approached our table.  He declared his love for her and greeted her with a great big hug and a kiss.  It was so sweet!  Minnie is my sister's favorite character and she was equally excited to visit with Minnie!!!

You are Going to be Green with Envy!

Hi! Sandra here with two cards to share. I am loving this March Kit of the Month - Green with Envy and you are going to be Green with Envy if you don't get yours soon as the month of March is almost over! Order yours today!!!

Before I share the cards I just have to say that we have had some crazy weather this week here in Southwestern PA. My thoughts and prayers go out to everyone in the Fort Allen and Rillton areas who lost or had damage to their homes from the tornado that hit our community on Wednesday. I am thankful that no lives were lost.

The first card I created using:
2 Green Sparkled Flowers, 3 Pure Blossoms, 1 Green Sparkled Butterfly, and one outer layer from a Green Organza Flower. I really tried not to do it but I just could not help myself - I used 6 Gradient Gem Sticker - PURPLE (not included in the kit). I am addicted to these gradient gems! I replaced the centers of the Green Sparkled Flowers with purple gems and I added purple gradient gems to the Pure Blossoms.

I am getting into the Easter spirit and I think that I am going to make this next card to send to our friends and family.

For this card I used:
3 Green Pure Blossoms, 2 Green Daisies, and Green & White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon 3/8" Wide

I really enjoyed working with the March Kit of the Month - Green with Envy! I have a lot left even after creating these cards!!!

Get yours today and check out all of the great products at creativecharms.com!

Thanks for stopping by and make it a great day!!!

My Sweetie Pie and My Hearts Desire!

Hi! Sandra here to talk about the January Kit of the Month - My Heart's Desire. I love this kit and I was thrilled when it arrived in the mail! I laid it all out on my scrappin' table and the wheels started turning...

Here are two quick cards that I made using a few of goodies from the kit.

For the card on the left I used the teardrop shaped
Vintage Jewels - PINK and Vintage Jewels - RED & WHITE (I just used the clear) to create three hearts at the bottom of the card and of course I had to use some Gradient Gem Stickers - BLACK & WHITE (again, the clear - NOT INCLUDED IN THE KIT).

For the card on the right I used the
Red & White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon near the bottom of the card and one Red & White Fancy Polka Dot Brad. I placed a round sparkly sticker (from my stash) on top of the big brad.

I also created a 2 page layout featuring my Sweetie Pie! The pics are from Valentine's Day 2010 and I just loved my little guy's excitement and expressions in the pics. He is so much fun!!!

I love the Vintage Poppies with Pearl Brads - RED (and all of the other great colors too) but I did not think that flowers went with a layout of my son so I looked at the flowers and I saw hearts. Each petal of the Velvet Poppy looked like a heart to me so I just took out the pearl center and cut each petal apart. I actually cut only the large poppies from two packs of the Vintage Poppies with Pearl Brads - RED. (Only on pack is included in the kit. You could use the small poppies too from the kit and then you would only need on pack.) I used the once poppy petals, now hearts, along with the Velvet Ric Rac - RED from the kit to create the border that spans the bottom of the entire layout and three of the petal hearts at the top of the right hand page. I also used the three puffy hearts from the kit just above the title - these hearts have white polka dots on the other side but I chose to use the plain red side.

If you did not get this kit yet, you will want to get it as soon as possible! I still have a lot of goodies left from this kit to create more fun stuff!

Thanks for looking and make it a great day! :o)
