Happy Spring

Happy Spring!  It seems like here in Iowa, it's taken Spring so long to get here.  Our temperatures are warming up and I'm getting in the mood to plant some flowers and start my garden.  I purchased this little wire tree at a Dollar Store and I must admit it looked pretty lonely with just some twisted wire branches.  I used April Kit of the Month and dressed up the branches with flowers and butterflies.  The little green flowers are DG-0130-FG.

Sweet Treats!

These adorable Easter Egg Treat bags were made for the some special ladies who attended a retreat with me last weekend.  They all loved them, especially after we filled them with "treats"! 

All the embellishments on these "eggs" are from the Creative Charms Deal of the Month!  The egg shaped treat bags are from SVGCuts.com and were super easy to do.  The gorgeous Large Yellow Sparkled Flower and Amber Pure Blossoms on this one just scream Spring!

On this bag I used the Yellow Flower Bow and Purple Gradient Gem Stickers.  Also embossed the pink cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it a little more texture.

This bag features the Gingham Butterflies with the purple Gradient Gem Stickers for the body and on the bag.  All ready for Easter treats and I know some special little girls who would love these for Easter!

Springtime Fun and Altered Easter Eggs

Hello Creative Charms fans!  Jan here to a couple of Spring cards.  I really like the vintage brads on the bottom of the birdcage.  What do you think?  The other card is a dimensional flower made by cutting two petal sections and the layering two pieces and sewing them together.  So easy and it really gives the flower dimension.

I know it sounds a little funny, but being an Altered Artist, I'm always on the lookout for fun things to alter!  LOL...so here's some hard boiled Easter Eggs that are certain to bring a smile thie Easter.

LeCirque Carousel

Come One, Come ALL, Creative Charms fans!  Jan is sharing a LeCirque Carousel that's made by altering a vintage tin.  All papers are Graphic 45 and the Creative Charms products I used are GB-407 (Gradient Brads), VP-7322-R7 (Craft Embellishments), VP-8209 (Vintage Brads), V2-7523-Red and Black Velvet Poppy).  The four smaller carousel tops are 3" circles that have been folded in half 4 times.  The main carousel top is 10.5".  The little toppers are made using the Creative Charms products listed above.  The tin is complete with circus peanuts!  I'd like to invite you to my blog where you'll see more LeCirque projects!

Kit of the Month Fun

Hi all!  Jan here sharing a few projects using the Kit of the Month and Creative Charms products.  The snowflakes and "snow" are part of the kit this month.   Although I'd like the snow to melt, working with the beautiful bling made it a bit easier.

Here's a sweet little CD Album.  Filled with all kinds of little blessings!  I used Vintage Brads, flowers and a variety of pearls.   The tiny pearls are a perfect addition to dress up lace.

And a simple Framed Piece.

Once Upon a Springtime Castle Album

Hi Creative Charms friends!  Jan here with a Springtime Castle and I'm so ready for Spring!  Our temps here in Iowa have been cold and the weather just said that Thursday night it's suppose to be -13!
The sequin flowers, pearls and butterfly are Creative Charms.  Die is Accucut and Spellbinder's and the paper is Graphic 45.

If what they say is true, and life is like a box of chocolates..mine is half eaten!  LOL

Here's an altered box of chocolates.  I decorated the inside with vintage images and the tiny pink pearls from Creative Charms.

Valentine Spoolies

Hi friends of Creative Charms!  Jan here with some Valentine Spoolies that are sure to dress up your home for Valentine's Day.  Can you believe it's just about a month away?

I added some Mica Flakes to a dowel and then hot-glued the dowel into the spool.  Decorate with your favorite vinatge image and beautiful Creative Charms and you're all set!  I used a red velvet poppy and a red vintage brad on mine.

Jan here and I wanted to share how easy it is to add vintage charm with Creative Charms products.  They are all just gorgeous and it makes dressing up a vinatge card so easy! I used a Velvet Poppy on my Valentine.

I used VP-8202 Vintage Brads on my Fun in the Snow card.

I used a Velvet Poppy and a Bingo game piece to embellish.
