Walking In A Winter Wonderland

Hey y'all! Aymee Gandy of 'A Scraphappy Southernbelle' here with you on this chilly day to share a card I have made featuring a sneak peek of the December Deal of the Month from Creative Charms!!! Let me tell you guys...the Deal this month is AWESOME! Stay tuned for the debut of the deal, but today I wanted to tease you with a project of the goodies! Tee Hee!

"Walking In A Winter Wonderland" Easel Card

Supplies Used:
Cardstock: The Paper Studio, Core'dinations
Patterned Paper: Die Cuts With A View
Brads, Gems, Ribbon, Flowers: Creative Charms
Stamps: My Craft Spot
Ink: Stampin' Up!
Thread: Coats & Clark
Corner Punch: EK Success
Electronic Cutter: Cricut Expression (Provo Craft)
Cartridge: Home Accents
Software: Sure Cuts A Lot (Craft Edge)
SVG: My Scrap Chick (Tinks)
Adhesive: Helmar

This card features a southern belle that I cut using my Cricut, SCAL, and SVG's from My Scrap Chick. If you do not already know, I LOVE anything like this, so this is a card that I had so much fun making! I made it into a non-traditional Christmas card. I used goodies from Creative Charms to jazz up my southern belle and as embellishments on other parts of the card. I already know who I am sending this card to! I hope she will like it!
All of the fabulous embellishments from Creative Charms really made this card for me! They were so easy and fun to work with!
The snowflake gems from Creative Charms added a winter feeling to the card.
I used a flower and some gems from Creative Charms to jazz up her hat.
More Creative Charms embellishments were added to her dress and parasol.
I used a Creative Charms brad to act as my mechanism to hold the card in the upright position. I also used some gems to add a bit of bling around my sentiment.
On the back of the card, I stamped another sentiment and left room for me to write my holiday message.
I hope you have enjoyed this card! Remember to stay tuned for the December Deal of the Month here on the Creative Charms blog! It is sweet!

Happy Scrappin'!

Deck the Halls Card

It's that time of the month again! Well, not that time, but time for me to talk about the Creative Charms Deal of the Month. Here's a little peeky of the 138 piece set for a bundle price of $6.99. (No, I didn't leave out a number. It's really $6.99!):

Red & Green Vintage Jewels - 12 Pieces
Holiday Gradient Gem Stickers - 76 Pieces
Red Vintage Velvet Ribbon - 18"
Green Wide Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon - 18"
Red Wide Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon - 18"
Green Gradient Gem Brads - 12 Pieces
Red Gradient Gem Brads - 12 Pieces
Red Vintage Gem Brads - 9 Pieces
Red Pure Blossoms - 14 Pieces

As usual, I had so many goodies in my kit that I couldn't use them all on one project. Here's one of my favorites I'd like to share with you...

I absolutely love the scalloped ribbon in this kit. I really wish I had ordered more, because I could use it on every card I make. I also love the vintage brads as you can see.  I happily discovered that the brad tongs are perfectly sized and spaced apart to thread into button holes, so it was quite easy to anchor them in the button without creating any bulky back bumps or holes in my paper. Ahhh, perfect!

Joy to the World!

I'm getting an early start on my Christmas cards this year so here are 2 samples of what I've done so far.

This first one features the Christmas Twinkle stickers found in the July Kit of the Month! I love the simplicity of this card especially for mass production!  It is a 3 1/2 x 8" white cardstock scored at every 1/4 " and "JOY" is mounted on white and silver squares.  The red ribbon background finsishes it off perfectly.

This A2 size card is made with green Bazzill card stock and various DP from my stash and the edges are inked with Desert Sand from CTMH to give it a distressed look.  I used the "JOY" once again but this time from the Winter Chipboard stickers.  Finished it off with a red and a green button with gold embroidery floss for the "stitches".  Two simple but beautiful cards that can be made quickly when you have to mass produce a Christmas card!

Refreshment?

Alrighty, it's the end of the month. I don't know about you, but I'm so ready for July to be over before it even starts. It's so stinkin' hot and strangely humid around here for some reason. I feel clammy every time I step outside. Yuckie! My disdain for hot sticky weather is really what lead me to creating my refreshing project with the Deal of the Month. Who doesn't love a glass of ice cold home made lemonade? Ah! Whomever came up with the idea to take something tropical and sour and turn it into something sweet and refreshing is a genius! I thought this big clear paint can would serve well as a bucket for lemons ready to be squeezed at a backyard BBQ or driveway lemonade stand. It makes me want a glass right now...

I hope this project refreshes you a bit!

Happy Summer Holidays!!

There are many patriotic holidays in the Summer, first there is Memorial Day, then Flag Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.  All occasions to use the colors Red, White and Blue.  My husband always celebrates his birthday on the 4th of July too so of course there is my chance to make a RWB Birthday card! I used the blue Vintage Jewels to accent the corners of this card and paper pieced the cake stand on this stamp.  CS used was Bazzil and Bo Bunny double dot (one of my favorites)

On the inside I stamped a star and accented it with one of the red Vintage Jewels.  These are only of few of the items you get in this months Deal of the Month!

This is one of my favorite layouts I have done recently.  This is the 4th of July, 2010.  Yes, I am a little behind.  I love how the Vintage Jewels and the Gradient Gem stickers match so well and I used them to make fireworks for this layout.

Here is a closeup of the fireworks!  Aren't they awesome!!  Can you imagine the combinations you can use for these?  This Deal of the Month is fantastic and you get so much!

Guess What...

Hi! Arlene here, absolutely thrilled to become a Creative Charms DT member! I've been peeking here in awe with all of the talented ladies here, have you been enjoying seeing all of the products being showcased so beautifully? I have!

My assignment for today is "Deal of The Month". When I got my package and saw all of the magnificent bling, I almost fell out of my chair. I have to say that I love the quality. I was able to take the bling off the packaging without the bling separating from the glue, (am I the only one who dislikes when that happens?) and I love how the colors are packaged. I made 2 cards:

supplies used:
Gradient Gems in Pink, Polka Dot Ribbon in Blue

using the Gradient Gem stickers as accents really made little details that could go un-noticed really pop. Ready to see another project?

 supplies used:
Gradient Pearl Stickers in Assorted, Polka Dot Ribbon in Blue  These pearls are sooo pretty! I need more! I'm not sure if this will remain a card or if I'll be framing this to display somewhere. I LOVE this ribbon, I really loved layering them. So very pretty! I hope I've inspired you to get blingy with the May Deal of The Month.

All Blinged out!

Happy Egg Hunting!!!

Hi Everyone!!! Jennifer Yates here with my bitter sweet blog post. I have a fun layout to share with April's Deal and Kit of the Month and also so sad that this will be my last blog post. It has been a BLAST designing for Creative Charms and I can't wait to see all the creations from the new design team! I also wanted to thank Midori for everything she has done...you are so generous and awesome to work with!!! :)) I can't thank you enough!!!

If you haven't checked out the Design Team call you can find all the details HERE!!! Good Luck!!!

Okay...now onto some fun using the Deal and Kit of the Month!!!
There are so many cute elements I wanted to add from both of these kits. I went with more of a salmon and yellow theme with this layout. The Creative Charms embellishments played off it perfectly!

***Happy Egg Hunting***

Here are a few closeups and the products used from each kit.

Yellow Gem Butterflies
Bunnies with Flower Gem

How CUTE is that little bunny with the pink bling flower???? Perfect for your Easter layouts!

Orange Sparkle Flowers
Yellow Sparkle Flowers
12" Yellow Fancy Polka dot Ribbon

I also added the Groovy Petal Medley in Yellow to my layout- they add a nice whimsical touch I think.
and you can't forget that GORGEOUS yellow flower!

Well that is all for me today! Have fun creating those awesome Easter layouts and projects!!!

Sweet Treats!

These adorable Easter Egg Treat bags were made for the some special ladies who attended a retreat with me last weekend.  They all loved them, especially after we filled them with "treats"!

All the embellishments on these "eggs" are from the Creative Charms Deal of the Month!  The egg shaped treat bags are from SVGCuts.com and were super easy to do.  The gorgeous Large Yellow Sparkled Flower and Amber Pure Blossoms on this one just scream Spring!

On this bag I used the Yellow Flower Bow and Purple Gradient Gem Stickers.  Also embossed the pink cardstock with a Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it a little more texture.

This bag features the Gingham Butterflies with the purple Gradient Gem Stickers for the body and on the bag.  All ready for Easter treats and I know some special little girls who would love these for Easter!

Hi Everyone!
True :D here.

When I opened up my designer package from Creative Charms this month, once again I was amazed at all of the beautiful embellishments that came spilling out!
Sadly, this is my final "official" post for Creative Charms as it is about time for them to pick a brand new design team. ;( *sniff sniff*
This month's "Hopping Into Spring" Deal of the Month is a real beauty! Lots of flowers and butterflies, and ribbon and bling!
I love joining in on Split Coast Stamper' s challenges and the "Try a New Technique" challenge this week was "Totally Tote Bags". I was very excited to give it a try knowing that I could use so many of my beautiful Deal of the Month embellishments!

Here is my tote....
Note...click on any of the pictures for a closer look! ;)

The tote base is made from  the awesome Posh Green Crepe, available @ Discount Card Stock. It made a perfect paper for the tote since it kind of looks and feels like cloth! The designer papers are from Prima's "Sweet Fairy" paper pad.
I used both the purple and yellow fancy polka-dot ribbons, purple organza flowers, purple gradient gem stickers, and purple 3D sparkly garden brads from the kit.

Here are a few more projects I have done lately using Creative Charms beautiful embellishments:

I made the flowers and the "designer" paper out of old newspaper.

I used a Pink Vintage Pearl Brad on this card.

Again...one of my faves....Pink Vintage Pearl Brad and some Pink Gradient Pearl Stickers that I hit with a Copic marker to color match.

This one uses White Gradient Pearl Stickers that I colored with Copic markers to match.

This layout with my beautiful niece Emily uses White Gradient Pearl Stickers that I colored with Copics.

Thanks so much for dropping by today!

Hugs,
True :D
