Winter Display Tray

Hi, it's Diane today and I hope you had a wonderful holiday!  After working with so much red and green for the Christmas season, it's fun to shift into Winter projects.  This little display tray is a great accent on a shelf or table and can stay up long after the Christmas decorations come down.

I used some snowflakes from the Winter Seasonal Medley and the Winter Seasonal Sparkles and then added Gradient Gem stickers to the centers for additional dimension and color.

In the three bottom squares, I added some Sequined Flowers along with flowers from the Sparkly Garden Brads and more snowflakes from the Winter Seasonal Medley.  The teardrop shape gems from the blue Vintage Jewels make lovely corner accents.

If you'd like to see more details about this project, please visit my personal blog, Capadia Designs.  I hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays and have a Happy New Year!

Christmas Tags & Gift Box

Hi everyone, Amy McCabe here. I made a Matchbox with Tags as a gift for a crafty friend. The Creative Charms embellishments were the perfect touch and I used quite a few different ones on my tags.

Here is my box - it is a matchbox style. The poinsettia is embellished with Gradient Pearls. The box is from SVG Cuts Crisp Days of Fall Kit.

The box slides open and inside I have three tags perfect for Christmas gifts.

The first tag is my Santa Tag. I used Gradient Gems to accent the Santa image. Santa paper and background paper is from BoBunny.

The second tag is my Red & Green Tag. The Vintage Jewel Brads were a perfect fit for this tag. I did some embossing of the AC Cardstock.

Last but not least is my Snowman Tag. I used the Vintage Christmas Self-Adhesive Metal Frames for this one.
I cut the snowman along with all the other images on my Cricut using SCAL.
The snowman is actually a freebie from SVG Cuts.

These were so fun to put together - I think I may put together a bunch more as little gifts for crafty friends!

Deck the Halls Card

It's that time of the month again! Well, not that time, but time for me to talk about the Creative Charms Deal of the Month. Here's a little peeky of the 138 piece set for a bundle price of $6.99. (No, I didn't leave out a number. It's really $6.99!):

Red & Green Vintage Jewels - 12 Pieces
Holiday Gradient Gem Stickers - 76 Pieces
Red Vintage Velvet Ribbon - 18"
Green Wide Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon - 18"
Red Wide Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon - 18"
Green Gradient Gem Brads - 12 Pieces
Red Gradient Gem Brads - 12 Pieces
Red Vintage Gem Brads - 9 Pieces
Red Pure Blossoms - 14 Pieces

As usual, I had so many goodies in my kit that I couldn't use them all on one project. Here's one of my favorites I'd like to share with you...

I absolutely love the scalloped ribbon in this kit. I really wish I had ordered more, because I could use it on every card I make. I also love the vintage brads as you can see.  I happily discovered that the brad tongs are perfectly sized and spaced apart to thread into button holes, so it was quite easy to anchor them in the button without creating any bulky back bumps or holes in my paper. Ahhh, perfect!

Halloween Crackers

Hey everyone - I have a fun Halloween Treat project to share with you today. I made these Halloween Crackers for son’s classmates. I was inspired by Thienly, my fellow SVG Cuts DT Member and fabulous crafter, here is her version. I made them slightly smaller to fit my candy perfectly.

I made little tags for each cracker and had a blast embellishing with Creative Charms. I used Vintage Halloween Self-Adhesive Metal Frames, Gradient Gems, Vintage Brads and Vintage Jewels to name a few.

Papers are from the DCWV Midnight Spell Stack and Stamps are from Punkin Patch Stamps ~ Trick or Treat. I created SVGs and cut on my Cricut using SCAL so the stamps fit perfect. I am new to stamping and loving it so far! Cracker file is from SVG Cuts.

Thanks for stopping by today --- Please stop on over to my very talented friend Mel’s Blog In Love With A Bug - she is having a Creative Charms Giveaway today that you don't want to miss!

Happy Craftin'!

Winter Cards filled with gems

Time and time again I reach for gradient gem stickers, vintage jewels and other sparkly items in my Creative Charms stash to make my cards shine.  A simple design embellished with gems is always impressive and very easy to create.

Both of these cards are made with cuts from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The round card has 23 red gradient gems stickers in two shades of red and all three sizes.

The smallest green gradient gem stickers decorate the scalloped front of this card...

...with tiny red gradient gem stickers accenting the sentiment.

This Winter card features one of my original snowflake designs enhanced with blue and white gradient gem stickers and a round clear vintage jewel.

The "winter" word is from the Seasonal Sparkles Stickers - Winter Words and Bling.  This set also contains snowflakes and stars and is available on a buy one, get one free special right now on the Creative Charms website.

If you'd like more details and directions for making these cards, please visit my personal blog, Capadia Designs.

Have a wonderful sparkly day!

A Christmas Card full of Bling!

Happy Tuesday!  August is already halfway over and school has started for many children.  It's time to really start thinking about Christmas cards if you are planning to make your own.  For my post today I decided to make a very sparkly card using many of the items included in the July Kit of the Month - Christmas in July.

I used a couple of the Christmas Multi-Dimensional Twinkle Stickers - the holiday sentiment is placed on a netting yo-yo...

...and this cute little present is placed under the tree.

There are lots of Gradient Gem Stickers decorating the Christmas tree, along with some of the stars from the Seasonal Sparkles  Stickers - Winter Words and Bling.  At the center of the tree design is a round red Vintage Jewel.

If you'd like more detailed information and instructions for making this card, you can find them on my personal blog, Capadia Designs.  You'll also find out about a little giveaway which you can enter to have a chance to win a Creative Charms prize.

Merry Crafting to you!

Altered Silver Brooch Box using Vintage Jewels on special this week!

Hi everyone! I'm SUPER excited to be back with you for another GREAT Creative Charms project today! You will not believe this but Creative Charms has a special this week--two specials actually...and it's MY favorite thing--BLING!! You get one of EVERY single gradient gem pack in the first special, and one of EVERY single Vintage gems in the second special. Yes this is one special that you could just use over and over! It's such a STEAL. I am not sure if they've sold out, since it's already Thursday--but you might hop over there and see at this special price!

Here is the first special of EVERY single color of Gradient Gems (these are self adhesive too which I love) for only 7.99 (This is a 30.00 value and includes TWELVE entire sets of gradient gems in all colors! eeeeek!

o
Here is the second special of EVERY single color of Vintage Gems (these are also self adhesive--be still my heart) for only 6.99 (This is a 22.50 value and I think it has 9 sets)

Now my awesome and amazing sister Karey has her birthday coming up August 20'th, so I wanted to make her something that included her birthstone, and was also beautiful and elegant like she is. So I found an antique silver small brooch box, and used the GREEN PERIDOT stones from both the Vintage gems and the Gradient Gems. I love it because the stones are the exact SAME peridot green!

I think it's wonderful when we can use our crafty stash in altered projects that otherwise would have no business in a crafty post! lol!

Here is the box that I have created for my sister's birthday (inside will be a special  lil monetary gift so she can do something NICE for herself). My sister's friend committed suicide two weeks ago and she is so sad and broken-hearted. I wanted to do something that would lift her heart.

Front of Box
Isn't this a GREAT way to use that bling! eeek! I know she will love it! So elegant and Victorian in nature.
Here is a pic of the top looking down.

Top of Box

How EASY peasy was that? I love that Creative Charms has the perfect embellishments to add just that special touch!

Okay so make sure you HOP over to my blog Getting Cricky! and leave me a comment there too. I'll choose one super special blog reader and follower to receive the ENTIRE Vintage Jewel set FREE! Don't worry you will want to stock up on these, so head on over and grab a set or two! If you win, you will be glad to have TWO of these fabulous deals! I still can't get over that they are 70%. Just eeeeeeek!

Have a very special day today--and remember if you have little lost treasures or vintage finds...alter them! Make them your own--it really is a purposeful and fun art that is very green and really is one of a kind!

Birthday Cake & Ice Cream

Hi everyone! I trust that you're all enjoying this summer heat as much as I am. Today actually isn't as bad as it was last week during that heatwave!

I have a layout to show you! I really love how no matter what occassion/theme you scrap/create with, Creative Charms has something that will go beautifully!

This birthday layout has so many pretty colors in it...and looking through my DT stash I had lots to pick from. It was really hard restraining myself from using them all!

This Pink Groovy petal medley flower is just the right touch of bubble gum cuteness.

This pink sequin trimmed butterfly looked sooo dreamy to me, kind of reminded me of a birthday wish!

also used vintage jewels in light green and this pretty green & white fancy polka dot ribbon.

Thanks for taking a look!

A Rainbow of Colors

Creative Charms has such great variety available for color choices in all sorts of embellishments.  For my project today I set out to showcase that variety.  Rainbows are all over the place in papercrafting now, so of course I wanted to get in on the action!   I created my rainbow using all old scraps of paper.  I pulled out three or four of each color and just started tearing and placing them where I wanted them.  After I placed my picture and title down I pulled out my pile of Creative Charms goodies.  I started by picking one bigger flower in each color and putting those down on the rainbow.  I then added gradient gems in various sizes.  I love the variety of dimension all the fun Creative Charms goodies added.  This was also a great way to use up some of those packs of flowers that I had just one or two left of!  I have to mention that I used my last yellow Groovy Petal - originally looking at those I wasn't sure how much I would use them.  But they match so many manufacturer papers out there and it has a unique look it's been the easiest to use and become a favorite of mine!

Thanks for visiting us today at Creative Charms - Have a fabulous weekend!
