Joy • Peace • Rejoice

Hi everyone, Amy McCabe here. I had great fun crafting last weekend with the Creative Charms November Kit of the Month. Here is a shadowbox I created. The size is 8" x 8" which is perfect for all the wall or it can be displayed in one of the holders on a coffee table or on a kitchen counter. I picked up my frame and holder at Joanns.

The kit has plenty of goodies. I used the Vintage Poppies, Christmas Vintage Metal Frames, Christmas Twinkle Stickers and the green accent from the Red Fuzzy Daisy Medley.

Here are a few close ups:

I used my Cricut Expression to cut the paper piecings. I used Kits from SVG Cuts. Paper are from BasicGrey ~ Jovial and solids are AC Cardstock. I also made a cute little tag to go along with my collage.

Quote Collage

I created this shadowbox collage for a friend of mine at work. We both took a class together and had to come up with our life’s mission. Her mission is actually from a song (not sure of the artist).

I used the Creative Charms Kit of the Month for this project. The braided daisies matched the fancy pants paper perfectly. The vintage brad & gradient pearls are not part of the kit but they are Creative Charms as well. I printed out the wording on my printer using the font Hallmark. The frame is 5x7 from Joanns.

Here is a look at the entire kit and info on it’s contents:

Pink & Black - 26 Piece Kit of the Month

Each Kit Contains:
  • Pink Groovy Petal Medley - 8 Pieces
  • Pink Braided Daisy Medley - 4 Pieces

  • Black & Silver Dotted Leaf - 4 Pieces

A few closeups of my project:

I am pretty sure she will love this and it will help her to remember her mission so she can live by it. Now...maybe I should do one of my mission?!?

Collage - B&W with Brights

Hey everyone - I have a wedding invitation collage to share with you today. The invitation is black and white with teal accents. I also incorporated the colorful wedding party flowers in the shadowbox frame.

I thought I would incorporate Creative Charms Gradient Gems (Black & White) to tie in the flowers into the black & white theme of the invitation. It not only accents the flowers but also added them in varying sizes to the scallop I cut on the Cricut. I thing the black accents help to tie everything together.

Here is a closeup:

I get my shadowbox frames at Joanns and Michaels. One key to creating shadowboxes is to add dimension. I use foam core behind large areas and foam tape behind small elements. Give a shadowbox along with Creative Charms a try. Thanks for stopping by today!

The Perfect Embellishment

Ever work on a project and look through your embellishments and say "Wow - that works perfect!"? That is what happened with my latest Wedding Invitation Collage.

The Creative Charms Vintage Velvet Poppies worked perfect with this collage. I added a paper flower behind the blue one to make it stand out. I also like using the Vintage Pearl Brads in White on these types of projects. They really are a nice accent to a formal piece.

The invite was a folder and cut the front with the couple's names embossed on it. I off-set it.

Here are a few closeups..

The scallop shape and strip at the bottom are from SVG Cuts.

Thanks for stopping by.
