Sunflowers...

Doesn't the very sound of sunflowers bring you back to fields of flowers in bloom?  Warm sunny days and starlit nights are approaching ever so quickly now as the last bit of Winter says "goodbye" for yet another year.  Are you ready for for Spring? Well if you are, I have a sweet little project for you that I made for Creative Charms, using their newest flowers called, "Countryside Sunflowers".  They come in an array of amazing colors and I bet you will find yourself using them on everything.  They just scream Spring!!  :) I made this frame using a plain wooden frame found at local craft stores, then painted it green then added crackle and then painted over it with white.  I then added a little white picket fence, those darling sunflowers, some felt ric-rac trim, and some fun felt trim around the edges.  I had the perfect photo of my daughter Courtney to put in the middle.  I hope you enjoy!

A Little Birdie Told Me...

The sun is shining today and I saw my first sign of Spring even though it doesn't officially start until the weekend!  Looking out the window of my workshop there was a robin sitting in the crab apple tree in my front yard.  Such a welcome sign!  Here is a little basket I made to welcome Spring decorated with the Sparkled Flowers and Sparkled Butterflies collection from Creative Charms.  The Dream Garden Dream Brads inside the basket must have attracted a visitor.  If you look closely you will see a little birdie peeking out of the basket guarding her egg!  Happy Spring!

Hippity Hoppity Easter Layout

Spring is my favorite season. I love when the trees start to bloom and the flowers come up. In western Pennsylvania it is a beautiful thing! This will be a great spring especially after all this snow and cold weather.

I had so much fun doing this layout featuring the Creative Charms Easter Kit. The butterfly & egg brads are so cute. I used the floral gems to accent my corners. Love the variety of the larger flowers and the bunny with the gem is the perfect touch. The ribbon was a perfect match to my papers.

I used Bo Bunny for the green background, the stitched paper is Lollia and used some pink and purple card stock. I covered a chipboard circle with the above papers plus Easter Stripes & Chicks by Best Creation.

Thanks for taking a look!

Spring Blooming Garden

Let's celebrate the fact that Spring is right around the corner.  What better way than to feature this adorable butterfly.  For this card I used a technique called the Folded Frame Technique.  I love the colors in this CS from the BoBunny called Abbey Road and Abbey Road Vine from A Gift of Love collection and it went so well with the Blue Blooming Garden butterfly.  I also added a flower from the Gem Garden collection for a little glitz.  Happy Spring!!

Love makes a house a home...

Welcome March! And with that comes the hint of Spring, clear skies, green grass, birds chirping, and flowers blooming. It's also the perfect time of year to create Spring projects to brighten up your home and let the sunshine in! I had an idea for this project after finding this adorable little wooden birdhouse at my local craft store and then the project basically created itself. I started with a wooden 3 1/2 inch block, decopaged some papers to all the sides, added a white picket fence and all those wonderfully, sweet embellishments like the giant sparkled butterfly, (which landed on the roof), sequin flowers, sparkled flowers, gem stickers and floral gems. The top was made by adding moss, the birdhouse, a teeny red cardinel, floral gems and of course, the butterfly. For the tag, I simply added a rub-on and adhered the tag to the side of the block. I love how this project turned out and I hope it inspires you to create one of your own. :)
