Friends and Babies!

Gatherings.
I love the little vintage sequin flowers from creative charms. They seemed to fit perfectly in my flower stickers I used on this page.
Another small, but sweet touch on this page was a few of the Gradient Pearl stickers on a few of the flowers as well.

Welcome little one card.
How about a little baby card using It's a girl felt stickers? I added some gradient gem stickers onto some of the felt stickers.

Have a great day!, Charity

July Deal of the Month - Sweet and Sassy!

Hi, it's Diane today with a project that makes use of something you may not normally think of using.  When the July Deal of the Month arrived at my house a few days ago I was intrigued by the transparent orange and green flowers - and the board they came on!

There is a lovely sparkly handle on the purse shape card and I immediately thought that it would be fun to alter to make a door hanger for a girl's room.  Depending on her mood she can turn it to the "sweet" or the "sassy" side.

For the "sweet side, I used the green and white fancy polka dot ribbon along with some of the flowers from the string flower groovy petal medley in orange and the soft flowers from the spring medley - orange.  The paper for the background is from the DCWV Citrus stack and the word is cut from the Cricut Paisley cartridge at 1 1/2 inches in yellow glitter cardstock with the word blackout in orange.

On the "sassy" side, I used the orange and green flowers, with  lots of extra bling from the green gradient jewels.  The paper for the background is also from the DCWV Citrus stack and the word is cut from the Cricut Paisley cartridge at 1 1/2 inches in orange glitter cardstock with the word blackout in yellow.

These flowers are so unusual and they certainly add a lot of pizazz to a project.

If you'd like step by step directions for making this project you can find them on my blog, Capadia Designs - here is a LINK to the post.

Christmas in July ??!?!?!?

Hey guys, It's Bree again.
I haven't stop creating since getting my hands on my Creative charms package.
How about you?

And can you believe I'm scrapping about Christmas? In July?
Well, I'm obviously not a a girl who scraps in order...lol
Check out my "Quilted Layout"
These "To-Die-For" Vintage Brads are my fave so far.

The had me at HELLO!
They are so elegant I was inspired to create the above layout.
I simply punched a pile of circles,
and then quilted them to the cardstock with my sewing machine.
And if you look carefully,
you can see the little Gradient Gems on random circles.
I really wanted it to look sparkly.
I added the Vintage brads to my title, like bullets.
The pearlized center is simply stunning.
And here's my last little close-up to show you.
So are you ready for the snow?
I'm definitely not!
In fact, I'm heading out to the patio,
with my scrap supplies in tow,
to enjoy the WARM SUMMER SUN.

Are you scrapping Christmas in July?

4th of July gift jar...

Let the celebration begin as the the 4th of July rounds the corner and the parties begin.  My house is decorated with all things Americana because I'm very patriotic, our flag is flying proudly out front, (though it does all year round), and I've been busy creating some fun 4th of July projects for you.  I made this little gift jar which is sooooo easy to make you will love to give these out as friends arrive for the big BBQ on Sunday.  Perhaps maybe you are going to a party then I know your hostess will love to receive this jar filled with yummy Peppermint Patty mints and Hershey's Dark Chocolate candies.  All I did was save the jar from a Starbucks Frappucino drink, cleaned it out well, removed the stickers, then decorate with papers, glittered stars, a walnut ink tag with a stamped "4th of July" sentiment and hey....any guesses on what that printed paper says at the bottom???  Hmmm????  Well I'll tell you, it says, "Fireworks"!  For the top I just painted the cap white, then sanded it and added a circle punched paper and polka dot brad.  The gems on the stars are from Creative Charms as well as the gem brads.  Cute huh???  Happy 4th of July everyone!

Strawberry Fields!

Strawberries are my favorite summer fruit and this card was super fun to make. I used my Cricut Expression to cut the card base using Bazzil CS and embossed the red layer using a cuttlebug embossing folder to make it resemble a strawberry.  I embellished this card using the felt strawberries (from the Strawberry Assortment, adorable red & white flower (Spring Bouquet Felt Garden) and Gradient Gem stickers.   I accented it with the Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon.  All of these items are from the June Deal of  the Month and today is the LAST DAY you can order this fantastic kit!  I finished the inside of the card with the RED Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon and Gradient Gem Stickers.  Happy Summer!

Summer Flowers

Hey Guys,
It's Bree, and this is my first blog post for Creative Charms.
I'm thrilled to be part of this amazing team,
especially since I'm already a HUGE Creative Charms Fan.

Summer holidays have been on the brain these last couple of weeks.
And after getting these fabulous Loop D' Loop Groovy Petals,

I just knew I had to create a layout about my daughter.

Supplies: Loop D' Loop String flowers by CREATIVE CHARMS.
Papers, Cardstock, & stickers by Momenta.
Chipboard Alphabet by American Crafts "Thickers".
Border punch by Martha Stewart.

Here's a close up of my flowers.
On the Right: I punched 2 papers to creative a 3d blossom,
and then added the Loop D'Loop brad to the center of the bloom.
Another Close-Up
On the Left: I added the Loop D'Loop brad to the center of a Die-cut sticker.
These little beauties are very versatile.
Use them on their own, or dress up your floral accents

I hope i have sparked your creativity with this post,
and just know that you'll feel the same way about these as I do....
that they are FABULOUS!

See you soon,

So Sweet!

One of the best things about summer is that it's the perfect time to consume some of my favorite frozen treats: ice cream sandwiches, fudgesicles, shakes, and Flavo-r-ice! Thinking about all that sweetness inspired me to create a page about my sweet tooth - a trait I have also passed down to my kiddos. And the cute little embellishments in the Deal of the Month were perfect for it!
So Sweet by Lisa Dickinson: patterned paper (Jillibean Soup) + embellishments (Creative Charms) + letters (American Crafts) + font (Traveling Typewriter)

I simply cut a large heart from kraft cardstock and stitched it to my background. Then I sprinkled it with the embellishments, some brads, and a few circles of patterned paper.

So if you're craving a sweet treat on a hot summer afternoon, grab the Deal of the Month and make a page about it! The best part? These yummy treats are calorie-free! :)
