Butterflies, Butterflies, and a few more Butterflies

I'm Christine and I am thrilled to be joining in the fun here at Creative Charms.  I created this layout first but was having so much fun, I decided to work on a card to share with you too.
I had the idea for these butterflies in my head and the Gradient Gem Stickers provided me with plenty of gems to make the project work.  It was great having access to all the different colors and shades of those colors to make it work.
Supplies Used:

I made this card as part of a challenge for Cards magazine but with the intention of using some of the fun goodies you can get here!  The Loop d loop flowers have such a unique look, they really stand out and make a project look special!  I also used some red gems to add some bling to the card.

I'm looking forward to visiting with you regularly over the next few months!

Deal of the Month

Hello, there! My name is Laura Evangeline. I'm one of the new design team members. I'm so excited to share my projects with you today.

The first couple of things I noticed about Creative Charms were the Kits of the Month and Deals of the Month. I could not believe what a steal they were, so right away I put in an order for each.

When the post man finally delivered the yummies, and I opened my box of goodies... "Holy BLING!" I think sun beams shot out of the package. The Deal of the Month just could not be further overloaded with dazzle. I had to get started crafting right away. I'm a sucker for Gem Stickers (I ordered extra in every color too), but I wanted to play with something I'd never seen before, so I went for the Vintage Jewels and that fab ribbon (which I also now own in every color too :-)...

And since I couldn't let one single bit of ribbon go to waste I made this coordinating mini card to match along with some of my precious gem stickers creating a little leaf & berry accent.

I hope you enjoyed today's projects. Leave us some comment-love so we know what you think!

Until next time...

Laura Evangeline

A Layout with a Twist!

Hello everyone! Angi here! I'm a design team newbie and am so excited about my debut here at Creative Charms!

I've got a fun twist to my layout today. Instead of using a photo...I actually used a fun digitally made card that I made for my daughter to highlight the page. She's a Girl Scout!

The Creative Charms goodies helped the digital graphics of the
girl scout "pop" off the page.

If you like to make "girly" pages then you must check out these
Creative Charms Products used on my layout:

  • Green & White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon

The Creative Charms Sunflowers are so fun & cute to use on a page!
They come in a variety of bright colors.

There's still time to get your May Deal of the Month and Kit of the Month. And to see more details of my page, please be sure to visit my blog at Cokie Pop Paper

Have a Creative Week!

Bling + Polka Dot Ribbon = Memories of Minnie

My projects for the month of May are classified as “Designer's Choice” - this means that I get to choose whatever Creative Charms goodies I want to work with!  So exciting!!!  If you have been following my blog you know that one of my favorite Creative Charms  products are the Gradient Gem Stickers.  I am telling you - they are fabulous!  I am proud to report that I own at least one pack of every color!!! :o)

Dear friends of mine are currently in Walt Disney world and I am dreaming of the day that we can return to that wonderfully magical land!  I guess that dream, Creative Charms Gradient Gem Stickers and Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon is what inspired the layout I am sharing with you today.

I have loved all of the character meals that I have been so lucky to experience and I think they are the best way to meet and greet the characters.  Chef Mickey’s is one of my absolute favorites.  We always have a blast and the food is great!

My little man smiled from ear to ear when his love, Minnie Mouse, approached our table.  He declared his love for her and greeted her with a great big hug and a kiss.  It was so sweet!  Minnie is my sister's favorite character and she was equally excited to visit with Minnie!!!

I used the one of the largest and two of the smallest gem stickers to create the bling Mickey heads!

I used the largest and two of the smallest gem brads to create the Mickey head by Minnie's signature.

Spring Layout with Creative Charms Flair

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope you all had a great weekend and were able to spend it with family or friends.  Today I'm super excited as it's my first time I've been able to share since I joined the Creative Charms Design Team Family.

My first project is a 12 x 12 layout I created using May's Kit of the Month.  The colors of the kit are perfect for the Echo Park's Springtime Collection. The butterflies from the blooming garden collection add such wonderful detail and layering to the layout that really complete the project.

My next project is an 8 x 8 layout I created for one of my favorite summer recipes...Strawberry Pie....YUM!  Sometimes it's nice to scrap things that we cherish that aren't pictures...like recipes.  The crochet strawberries really make the layout POP!!!

The knitted strawberries are also included in May's kit of the month...I'm telling ya...you get a TON of spring/summer goodies in the kit for a super deal.

I hope I've shown you some projects to inspire you to run over and get your May's Kit of the month now, before they sell out....and they do sell out!

For more detailed pictures, please sure to visit my blog http://www.pinkcloudscrappers.blogspot.com/.

Thanks for stopping by and I'll see you next time.

Happy Mother's Day!

I would like to wish all you mom's a Happy Mother's Day!  This is a card I made for my beautiful daughter to celebrate Mother's Day.  She will be coming up with her family to spend the weekend.  We have a wonderful dinner planned and a trip to the zoo with the girls.  This card was made using the Gradient Pearl stickers from the Deal of the Month (you get an awful lot of bling in this deal!) and the Layered Vintage Flowers from the Vintage Poppies collection. The CS and DP is from CTMH and the tag stamp and punch is from SU.  Have a wonderful Mother's Day!

I absolutely LOVE the knitted strawberries from this month's May Kit of the Month: A Knitted Garden.
Aren't these Knitted berries the sweetest???
I wanted to make a super quick project and decided on a mini book. This book is made using envelopes, cardstock, some trims, and the fabulous knitted strawberries from Creative Charms.

Flowered Frames and Boxes for Mother's Day

Hi, it's Diane and I have a few gift ideas to share with you today.  Mother's Day is just around the corner so these are quick and easy projects that are perfect for giving.  I have been making lots of flowers lately  and using them to decorate frames and boxes.

You can hand cut spiral shapes from circles to make the flowers, however, if you have a Cricut machine and the "Mickey and Friends" cartridge, there is a spiral shape that is just right for these rolled flowers.  There is a very detailed explanation on how to make the flowers on my personal blog, Capadia Designs, at THIS POST

The flowers are pretty when they are rolled up and hot glued together but they do look a little bit plain.

Adding a Gradient Gem Brad to the center of each flower brings the flowers to life!

I hot glued flowers in an assortment of sizes and colors to the bottom of an acrylic table frame.  A calendar or a photo could be placed on the mat which was cut with a Spellbinders Nestability die.

I used the same type of flower, cut from pastel papers, to decorate a small gift box.

I used Gradient Pearl Stickers in pink for the centers of these flowers.  The small Sparkled Butterfly is a nice accent to the box top.

I used different sizes of pearls to fit the flowers.  I always appreciate getting three sizes on one sheet of stickers - you often need to use several sizes to make your project.

This sweet frame was so quick and easy to make.  I found these plain white frames at IKEA for 99 cents.

The Blue Knitted Flowers were just the thing to add to the frame to personalize it.  These flowers are also part of the May Kit of the Month.

This small gingham butterfly from the Kit of the Month adds a finishing cheerful touch.  I used some more Gradient Pearl Stickers to form the butterfly body.  The butterfly is part of the Knitter's Garden - Orange Flowers and Butterfly set.

I think the blue and white combination is so fresh and pretty!

Here is one more card that I made a while ago - I wanted to share it since the Knitted Strawberries it features are also part of the May Kit of the Month

You can check my blog, Capadia Designs, for more details on any of these projects.  I hope that you feel inspired to embellish your flowers.  Have a great week!

A Purse For Mom

Hi Everyone ~ Hope you had fun on the blog hop on Friday. It sure was fun and loved seeing everyone’s creations featuring Creative Charms. The winners of the giveaways are due to be announced today.

We are getting ready for Mom’s Day at our house. We have purses to make for our Mom’s and for my son’s Godmothers.

I thought these cute purses would be perfect for holding a gift card or some jewelry. I used the Cricut and SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot) and the purse SVG File is from SVG Cuts.

This purse features Gradient Pearls & the Pink Vintage Brad was a perfect accent for the flower.

Hope all the Mom’s have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
