Home for the Holidays...

My latest project finds me "Home for the Holidays" in this sweet wall hanging made for Creative Charms.  I painted a piece of wood white then covered it with papers and chipboard embellishments from Basic Grey's "Eskimo Kisses" line, (which I love, love, love sooooo much), then topped it with a pink bottle brush tree from Melissa Frances and the "Winter" kit, from Creative Charms.  I also used plenty of their Gradient Pearl Stickers, to embellish the roof lines and windows of the little houses. I hope you enjoy!

Charmed Layouts

Hi everyone, this is Ilene blogging today - ant it's my very first Creative Charms DT post! I am so excited and honored to be a part of this wonderful team. I am absolutely in love with all the little embellishments Creative Charms has made available. They have a distinct antique flair I can't get enough of. Since this is my first post, I thought I'd share a few works with you, just to give you a little idea of my style and how I like to use Creative Charms products.

First up, I have a layout using brand new paper from Echo Park. The line is called a Walk in the Park, and so is this layout. Don't you think the Creative Charms flowers and butterfly add so much? It just wouldn't be the same without them.

Supplies:
Vintage Poppies with Pearl Brads - BURGUNDY
Vintage Sequin Flower with Pearl Center
Knitter's Garden - PINK flowers & butterfly

And I have another layout, this one about my little boy. Even though it's a "boy" layout, I thought the little blue flowers went nicely with the theme and the pretty Collage Press paper.

Supplies:
Knitted Flower - BLUE

And last, I have a little card I made using some My Mind's Eye scraps I had left over from a kit. I'm not much of a card maker, but Creative Charms make it easy to add just the right kind of cute touch.

Supplies:
Strawberry Assortment

Well, that's it for today. I hope you enjoyed my projects and are inspired to incorporate some Creative Charms into your own!

Such A Cutie!

Hello there! Laura here with my first ever posting for Creative Charms. I'm so excited to be a part of this team and be able to hopefully show you some fresh, fun and new ways you can use Creative Charms products.

Today I'm going to show you a project I created using the August Deal Of The Month in pink. If you haven't see what the deal of the month is yet, let me show you.

It also comes in blue:

You can purchase either the pink deal of the month or the blue kit of the month for a low price of $6.99 per kit. That's 70% off retail! Such a bargain!

Here is the project I created

There were so many fun elements in this kit that I thought to myself "why don't you layer some of them" and so I did. Like for example on the felt flower embellishment. I added a bit of bling to the edges and I used a flower gem to dot my I in the title.

Here I used some of the elements to use for my banner. Banners are so super cute and easy to create and using Creative Charms products really gives it a finished look.

Thanks for stopping by! Now get scrapping!

Flower Fun Layouts...

Hi everyone! Jennifer Yates here with my first blog post at Creative Charms! I am so excited to be part of the team and excited to show you some fun ways to use Creative Charms beautiful floral embellishments!

Today I have two layouts to share today...

First up I combined the Knitter's Garden - BLUE flowers & butterfly and the Vintage Brads - Blue. They are a perfect addition to this layout of my little nephew...who I have been scrappin' a lot of lately! :)

OUT FOR PUBLICATION

and here are a couple closeups...

On one of the knitted flowers I used a blue vintage brad to create a little more texture to the flower.

The small butterfly that comes in the set adds a little whimsy to the title of the layout. I added a vintage brad to the transparency cut out and a pop dot for added dimension.

Next up I used these FUN Braided Daisy Medley in Blue! I LOVE this product! With it I create two little sailboats to tie in the water theme of the layout.

and a closeup...

Thanks for letting me share my ideas today!!! I can't wait to see what you do with YOUR Creative Charm embellishments!

Happy Scrappin'!!!

Jennifer

Just You N' Me!

This last month was my 10th Wedding Anniversary.
So I wanted to dedicate this post just to LOVE

I love the lyrics to the song "Just You N' Me" by Chicago
The opening verse inspired my project this week.
It goes like this....

You are my love AND my life
And you are my inspiration
Just you 'n me
Simple and free
Baby you're everything I've ever dreamed of ...

It's true. Most projects are inspired by the the people we love...
Husbands, Children, Parents, etc....

And this card was inspired by true love!

I created this card by simply adding a matted piece of patterned paper
in the centre of the card base,
and machine stitched around the edges with a zig zag stitch..

I then stamped a sentiment onto a journalling sticker,
and adhered it to the card with foam dots.

I then used a heart sticker, and traced 2 larger sized hearts onto different papers.
I adhered them to each other using foam dots.

I then used Creative Charms Pearls to create random whimsical swirls onto the card.

Are you inspired yet?
Who inspires your projects?
I challenge you to create a love inspired project today...

Just You N' Me!

Saturday Tutorials

Today I have a couple of fun ideas for you to try on your next layout made from Vintage Jewel Brads and Gradient Gem Brads. Sometimes when I scrapbook I have these "Ahhh Haaa" moments when I get super excited about an idea I had a few of these moments when I was creating this layout. This layout is about my daughters crazy big blue eyes and it's perfectly embellished with with a bunch of goodies from Creative Charms.

(Supplies Used: Cardstock Bazzill, Patterned Paper Lily Bee/October Afternoon/Cosmo Cricket/Creative Imaginations, Fiskars Punches, Tiny Alphas October Afternoon, Corrugated Blue Alphas Jillibean Soup, Creative Charms Pink Vintage Brads, Creative Charms Pink Gradient Brads, Creative Charms Gradient Black Pearl Stickers, Stick Pins JoAnn's and Font Bohemian Typewriter downloaded from the Internet)

The first idea I want to tell you about is the stick pins I altered with Creative Charms Vintage Brads. (1) This works easiest with these round flat top stick pins from JoAnn's (2) Snip off a bit of the excess back of the brads (3) Use some glue dots to adhere the stick pin inside the back of the brad then wrap the back of the brad around the back of the pin tap down with a small hammer if necessary (4) Viola vintage stick pins that make me happy.

The second idea I have for you today is dressed up rosette flowers. (1) Punch circles from patterned paper any size will do mine are 1 1/2 inches (2) Spiral cut the circles (3) & (4) roll from the outside in (5) Put a large glue dot in the center of your rolled up spiral circle, let your circle unroll just a bit and press into the glue dot (6) Viola a paper flower rosette just waiting to be dressed up with some Gradient Gem Brads in the center.

Happy Crafting have a great day ~ Summer
