Creative Charms Goes Vintage!

Creative Charms are absolutely perfect for heritage and vintage LO's. SO many items are already vintage-inspired like the velvet poppies and the vintage brads. But even the items that are not specifically vintage work perfect on heritage LO's. You will see what I mean. I will share two LO's today, both using Nikki Sivils pp. The first is with one of her new lines that just came out at CHA, "We Are Family". It's a pic of my mom with her parents.

Supplies:
Red Polka Dot Ribbon
Velvet Vintage Poppies
3D Vintage Brads - Antique Flower Medley
Braided Daisy Medley - RED

I also made a love-themed vintage LO, using Nikki's valentine's themed line, Sugar Cookie. I also used a lot of Scrapmatts laser-cut chipboard (the heart topiary and the white swirls). It's a pic of my parents as a very young couple.

Supplies:
Vintage Poppies with Pearl Brads - PASTEL PINK
Sweet Tooth - Felt Sticker & Epoxy Brads
Gradient Pearl Sticker - PINK
Vintage Make-It-Yours Self-Adhesive Metal Frames
January Deal of the Month - Be Mine (The puffy white heart with pastel flowers on top)

"Fairytude"

Hi Everyone! Jennifer Yates here today bring you a little fun with a combination of the Kit of the Month and the Deal of the Month!!!

From these kits I used the following in my "Fairytude" layout:
White Flared Flowers
Winter Seasonal Sparkles
Clear Gem Garden
Black and White Gradient Gems.

I had sooooo much fun creating this layout! When I first saw the White Flared Flowers I instantly thought of the fairy wings that my daughter loves to wear! They have the same texture and would be a perfect addition to my layout.

To recreate the look of my daughters wings: I folded down one of the pedals to form fairy wings, I then took my pink spray mist and added some color to the "wings" to match the photos.

And what would a fairy layout be without bling??? I used the Clear Gradient Gems around my circle punches and I LOVE the look of the Clear Gem Garden and Winter Seasonal Sparkles...they added the perfect dimension and sparkle!!! I simply placed them randomly around the layout.

That is all for today! Pick up your Kit and Deal of the Month and get creating!!!

Variety of Cards!

The Kit of the Month for February has so many possibilities to choose from.  This first card is called a "Z Fold" card and is one of my favorite to make because to me it seems like there is a "surprise" inside.

From the kit I used the White Flared Flowers and when you open the card it looks like the one on the bottom is floating.  It is also accented with blue Gradient Gem Stickers to dot the I's and the exclamation point!  Love how this turned out!

This second card uses the Black Vintage Velvet Poppies and I added the White Vintage Pearl Brads for the center of the flower.  The sentiment is accented with Gradient Pearl Stickers and the Black Vintage Velvet Ric Rac ribbon sets it off perfectly.  The bottom section is embossed using a cuttlebug embossing folder and then inked to bring out the embossed image.

The inside of this card is also accented with the Gradient Pearl Stickers.  I just love using the Gradient pearls and gems on my cards.

On this Birthday card I used the tiny stars from the Winter Seasonal Sparkles to accent the snowflakes.  I also used another of the White Flared Flowers included in the kit.  There is so much in these kits it is amazing.  I also used a Nestabilities die and inked it to bring out the embossed element of the die.  The oval was embossed with a cuttlebug embossing folder and the snowflake is once again from Nestabilities.  The lace border was punched using a MS punch.

It's a Amore! Simply the Best Treats to Love this Month at Creative Charms!

Love is a Butterfly....
Hello to all of our Creative readers and friends--it's a Charmed Life here at Creative Charms!  I had so much fun this month with the Kit and Deal of the Month: Simply the Best.
For my layout, I used the pink tulle flowers I made. Click HERE to see my tutorial on how to make them yourself. I used plenty of beautiful black velvet poppies, the sparkly black and silver dotted leaves, black and clear gradient gems, black & white shimmer flowers, and that gorgeous sequined butterfly all from my Creative Charms kit and Deal of the month. I combined all of this of course with my yummy Be Mine paper from Echo Park.
I really WISH you could see this in person--I used a crocheted doily half and placed gradient black and clear gems all throughout the doily--it is stunning in person!

My card was equally simple by using Creative Charm's Deal of the month....the Southsea gradient pearls, black and white gradient gems, polka dot ribbon,  and the kit's black and silver dotted leaves with  black velvet poppies just made the perfect accents!
Just incredilby quick but still beautiful. Now that's my type of project girls!!!

I just wanted to show you a quick up close glimpse of the Simply the Best Deal of the Month. For only $6.99 you must simply buy two! lol!

Enjoy your creative & charmed life--create something today!

Black and White and Lace Cardstock

Hi, it's Diane today and I have a few cards to share that I made with the February Deal of the Month.  I am always amazed at how much is included in these fabulous deals.  There is plenty to keep you busy with unique embellishments for all sorts of projects.

Here are the items in this month's deal - of course, my eyes flew to the huge and beautiful sequin butterfly.  I actually turned it into a pin that can be worn on a blouse or a hat.

I added some felt trimmed to shape, glue it to the butterfly and sewed a pin backing to the felt

I thought that this would make a nice gift for another crafter so I made a card using the Paper Lace Cricut cartridge and pinned the butterfly through the lace so it could be removed and worn.

I cut the sentiment from white glitter cardstock with the "Friends Forever" Cuttlebug combo set die.  I added the smallest clear gem stickers to dot the "i"s for more sparkle.

I love the drama of a simple black and white combo and the next card is simply another cut from the Paper Lace Cricut cartridge, cut in black and placed on a white A2 card.

I used some of the black and white gradient gem stickers along with two of the flowers and one butterfly from the white gem garden to highlight the paper lace.

The shimmer flowers in green and black have such a lovely sheen - the green is also a close match to the DCWV shimmer cardstock.

I used the same Paper Lace Cricut cut but sized it a bit smaller so I could add a green shimmer cardstock layer behind the lace.  I added shimmer flowers - two from the green and black set and one from the black and white set.

The sentiment is embossed with glitter on the same green cardstock with a white glitter scalloped oval behind to continue the sparkle.

You can find complete directions and more photos on my blog, Capadia Designs, at THIS POST.

Don't miss your chance to order this great deal - for $6.99 it is a terrific value and you will have lots of creative options!

Flowers and Leaves and Pearls...Oh My! :)

Hi Everyone!
True :D here.

I want to share a project with you that I created using some new goodies from Creative Charms.
I altered this notebook and pen set  using the flowers and black pearls from the "Simply More Deal of the Month" kit. That pretty leaf is from the "Simply the Best Kit of the Month" set. I also used some Pink Gradient Pearl stickers.
I think they really dolled up what would have been a plain notebook! :)

Here are some of my latest cards made with Creative Charms beautiful embellishments.

I used one of my all time fave embellies...Pink Vintage Pearl Brads.

The next one uses a Pink Vintage Jewel Brad.

For this candy bar wrapper, I used another of my illustrations and Pink Gradient Gem Stickers.

This one features...you guessed it...another of my illustration sets. LOL!
I used another Pink Vintage Pearl Brad but changed up the color a little with a Copic marker.

For this one, I used some Pink Pearl Stickers.

You guessed it...another one of my stamps! I love to draw...can you tell?  :)

I used Gradient Gem Stickers and Gradient Pearl Stickers that I colored with Copics.
One of my favorite tricks! :)

Sorry the post was so long but I was a busy girl this month and I LOVE Creative Charms goodies! I actually did more cards then what I posted here but didn't want to overwhelm you!  ;)

Thanks so much for having a peek!
Hugs,
