Joy

December is upon us...only a day away. Where has the year gone?
I just got done playing with the FABULOUS November Deal of The Month. This packet of goodies really has all you need for your holiday projects and what a deal!!
I made this layout using an old T-shirt stretched inside of an embroidery hoop.

I added a few sparkling snowflakes from the Winter Medley. The red, green and diamond brads worked well to look like sparking ornaments and string of lights.

The pretty ribbon included in the Deal of The Month worked perfect for my background and it gave my layout plenty of color.

I also made this simple Holiday card by cutting out a doily using my die cut machine. The "berries" and bow really turned this doily into a pretty wreath.

Happy crafting!

O Christmas Tree!

I am working on getting my Christmas cards done for this year. I still have a way to go.  Here are 2 samples of cards.  The first one uses the Green Wide Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon wrapped around triangles to build a Christmas tree.  It is decorated with Holiday Gradient Gem Stickers and Red & Green Vintage Jewels all from the Deal of the month.  The tree trunk is also one of the Vintage Jewels.  I like how this one turned out.

This Christmas tree was stamped on card stock and once again decorated with the Holiday Gradient Gem Stickers from the Deal of the Month.  This deal is jam packed with goodies and perfect for completing all your Christmas cards!

Gift Box and Winter Friendship Card

Hi, it's Diane today with a couple of quick projects.  Most of you are probably busy getting ready for the Thanksgiving festivities - I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

If you want to make a gift package a bit more special, try adding some Creative Charms.  I wrapped wide green grosgrain ribbon around a small silver gift box, added a piece of black Vintage Velvet Ric Rac along the longer ribbon and popped on a couple of red Vintage poppies for an elegant presentation.

I changed the pearl brads that come in the vintage poppies with a red Vintage Jewel Brad and a round green Vintage Jewel for a different look.

We had snow in Massachusetts before Halloween but there hasn't been any more snow yet.  This card can be sent to a friend anytime during the winter.

I added a snowflake from the Winter Medley to the sentiment stamped inside the card.

An iridescent snowflake from the Winter Medley and a snowflake from the Winter Seasonal Sparkles accent the cut out design in the front of the card.

The word "snow" from the Winter Seasonal Sparkles is easy to add to the front of the card.  The tiny gems are embedded in adhesive and you can gently lift the entire word and place it on the card.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving - I hope you can spend it with your loved ones.  If you want to see more detailed directions for these projects, you can check my blog, Capadia Designs (the posts will appear after the Thanksgiving holidays).

Christmas giving with Creative Charms

Hi everyone! Lisa here.

I have another gift idea for you today. Paper Crafts posted several different gift box and bag templates that you can print out.  You can find the link here.  These are perfect for holiday gifts.  I used the first box shown on the page.   Simply print out the pattern onto the back of pattern paper and cut out.  Embellish using your favorite Creative Charms products.  I decided to use this month's kit.

And a matching card using the scraps from the box.

Thanks for stopping by.  Hope you all have a safe and happy Thanksgiving!

Joy • Peace • Rejoice

Hi everyone, Amy McCabe here. I had great fun crafting last weekend with the Creative Charms November Kit of the Month. Here is a shadowbox I created. The size is 8" x 8" which is perfect for all the wall or it can be displayed in one of the holders on a coffee table or on a kitchen counter. I picked up my frame and holder at Joanns.

The kit has plenty of goodies. I used the Vintage Poppies, Christmas Vintage Metal Frames, Christmas Twinkle Stickers and the green accent from the Red Fuzzy Daisy Medley.

Here are a few close ups:

I used my Cricut Expression to cut the paper piecings. I used Kits from SVG Cuts. Paper are from BasicGrey ~ Jovial and solids are AC Cardstock. I also made a cute little tag to go along with my collage.

So Thankful

Hey y'all! Aymee Gandy of 'A Scraphappy Southernbelle' here with you on this gorgeous day to share my very first post as a DT Member of Creative Charms! I am SO excited and SO thankful to be here working with these fabulous designers and with such fabulous products! So let's get started...

For my first project, I have a Thanksgiving frame to share with you. I just love Thanksgiving! It is a time of family, friends, and fabulous food. It is also a time that we count our blessing and are thankful for all we have in our lives. I wanted to create a frame to add to the festive decor' I have going in my kitchen for the holidays. So I turned to some fabulous embellishments from Creative Charms to create my project.

I started off with a basic frame that I purchased at a local dollar store. I then cut a turkey out using my Cricut electronic die cutting machine. For the feathers, I turned to a trick that I tried out the other day on my personal blog. I loved the trick so much, I decided to do it again! LOL! I used some luscious ribbon from the Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon Collection. I took strips of Brown & White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon and Red & White Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon, folded them in half, and adhered them to my die cut turkey to act as 'feathers.' I then added a few Seasonal Sparkles Stickers-Autumn Words & Bling in with my 'feathers', to the brim of my turkeys hat, and as my sentiment on the frame. I also added a Vintage Jewel Brad in Amber to the top of my turkeys hat. I adhered all of the pieces to the top of the glass of my frame using a strong adhesive. Next, I decided to jazz up the edges of the frame. I used more of the Vintage Jewel Brads in Amber and Velvet Ric Rac in Red to finish off the project. I can't wait to display this in my home for the holidays!
I love the dimension that the Vintage Jewel Brads, Seasonal Sparkles, and Ribbon give!
Just a closer look at my 'feathers' so you can see.
After finishing up my Thanksgiving frame, I decided to turn to our next big holiday...Christmas! Another holiday that I love! For this project, I made a card to send out to a fellow scrapbooking pal. I created a 'Christmas tree' on the front of my card using an assortment of Gradient Brads and Gem Stickers from the November Deal of the Month to create my card. I am sending this to a scrapbooker because I know that they can easily disassemble this card and re-use the fabulous Gradient Brads from Creative Charms in a project of their own. So really it's a gift within the card! I also used a seasonal sticker and a corner punch on this card.
The November Deal of the Month is packed full of some awesome goodies!!! It includes 138 pieces for $6.99!!! A Sweet Deal!
Don't these Gradient Brads provide wonderful dimension? I love them!
I hope you have enjoyed my first blog posting! I had such a good time working with these awesome products from Creative Charms! They really brought my projects to life!

Thanks for visiting the Creative Charms blog! We hope to see you again soon!
Happy Scrappin'!!!

Oh The Weather Outside is Frightful!!!

Tis the season for Christmas cards, songs of Merriment at the mall and Santa. The weather has turned here in Alberta from Fall to Winter and I'm starting to think of all that wonderful Scandinavian faire we'll have in a short 6 weeks. YUMMO!!!

Hey there everyone, Erika Taylor here today with my first post as a design team member for Creative Charms. I've been using these wonderful embellishments for a while and I'm so blessed to be a part of this team. Talk about a talent pool!!!

Today I'm sharing with you a card I created using some scrumptious goodies from the November Deal of the Month. This deal is filled with 138 pieces of Holiday Cheer, and for this self acclaimed magpie, it is simply perfect. First off, I created the card using Graphic 45 papers, Helmar adhesive and the great ribbon from the kit. To get it to match perfectly to the papers, I inked the ribbon a smidge with Tea Dye distress ink and a spritz of Walnut Gold Glimmer Mist. Perfect indeed. Then I finished the merry little card off with a few of the red Vintage brads and a great sentiment from the Christmas Twinkle Stickers

What a perfect match those Vintage Brads are to Graphic 45 papers. Now I also wanted to show you a creation I did a while back, but you haven't seen. A little Christmas Tree decked out in Nikki Sivils papers, buttons and Vintage Poppies. Just a little extra something for you today...

Well, that is all for me today. I hope that you have enjoyed my first post here on the Creative Charms blog and if you would like to see me create anything in particular, please drop me a comment. Now off to dream of toyland...

So Thankful

Hi everyone! It's Joanna Bandelin here, this is my 1st ever post here on the Creative Charms blog and I'm super excited to share my card with you today!
So far I have been LOVING everything about Creative Charms! The brads and bling and all the super cute embellishments! When I was making this card I pictured a blinged-out turkey..lol, that sounds kinda funny,  but that's what I eneded up making! Take a look...
I gave my turkey and fun hat with a leaf from the Fall Medley. And used some Amber Gem Stickers on the feathers.

I was really inspired by the 'thankful' sentiment (from the Autumn Words & bling set) and kind of worked around that. I also made a rolled ribbon flower and topped it with some gems and a pretty vintage marble brad.

I hope you enjoyed my card, thanks for stopping by! :)

Holiday Gift Tag

Hello Creative Charm fans! Erin here, posting my first post as a new DT member for Creative Charms. I'm so excited to share projects with you using these gorgeous embellies. They are so fun and really add that extra touch to your paper craft projects.

The holidays are just around the corner, whether you like it or not) so I've started working on my holiday cards and my favorite - gift tags! I love making my packages unique and Creative Charms are definitely going to help me pretty up my packages this year.
I wanted to keep this tag super simple so the focal point would be the beautiful red vintage poppy found in the November Kit of the Month. I love this flower in real life, it's velvety and a dark rich red color.

I also put together a quick and simple stamped card to build up my collection come December.
For this card, I used the pretty little sparkly snowflakes found in the Winter Medley. Just a few go a long way!

Thanks for checking out my projects today. See you again soon!

Blessed

Hello, Liz here with my very first post as a member of this incredible DT. Today I made a matching layout and card using plenty of fabulous Creative Charms.

This is the prefect time of year to reflect on all of the gifts and talents we've been given and to focus on how blessed we all are.

I placed these adorable Vintage Velvet Poppies in a cluster towards the bottom of my page backed by a few Silver Dotted Leaves.

I added a special touch to a scalloped edge by adding Gradient Jewel stickers in white. Finally a few scattered Loop d' Loop Funky Brads added a nice little touch.

..................................................................................

For my card I used several of the same embellishments as in my layout but I added a few black Gradient Jewels and cute green butterfly gems. To really make the butterflies stand out I added some curled wire for the antennas.

That's all for today. Check back real soon!
