Card and Layout Share

Fall is my favorite season of the year with all the beautiful colors!
I made this adorable fall birthday card using the Pick a Pumpkin Kit from SVGcuts.com.  I used the Black Gradient Pearl Stickers from Creative Charms for the eyes.

Here is a layout showing some flowers with a  with Spring time look using a layout from SVG cuts Memory Garden Kit.  The centers were accented with the Vintage Jewels.  I find that I use these quite a lot because they add a nice touch to any layout or card.

Bright and cheery butterflies

Hi, it's Diane and I have a very bright "girlfriend" card to share with you today.  The shades of blue and green in this paper are favorites of mine and I was happy to realize that I had several Creative Charms items that coordinate perfectly.

I used the large butterfly from the Sparkled Butterfly Medley along with a butterfly brad from a 3D Sparkly Garden Brad set and a white butterfly from a Gem Garden set.

These sparkly butterflies in green are a great match for the paper that I printed and cut with the Cricut Imagine using the All Wrapped Up cartridge.

The two smaller butterflies pick up the green and the white of the large butterfly.  The brad is attached through a hole in the scalloped layer.

I used a gem sticker in the third lightest shade of the green Gradient Gem Stickers to dot the "i" in the sentiment which was cut with a Cuttlebug die.

I think a card like this would brighten anyone's day - I hope you enjoyed it!

If you'd like more details about the card, please visit my personal blog, Capadia Designs, for a few tips on how I put it together.

Have a wonderful crafty day!

Feels like Home

Hi everyone!  Lisa here.

Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend!  I wanted to share a layout with you that I created recently.  A few months ago we moved to a new town.  It has taken a bit for us to settle in but finally things are starting to feel like home.  I wanted this layout to feel comfortable and homey.  That is one of the things I just love about Creative Charms products.  Every time I am wanting to add an extra touch to a layout or card I reach for my Creative Charms box.

I used several different Creative Charms products on this layout.  My love of Creative Charms pearls is obvious in this layout.  I not only used one as an accent on the butterfly in the upper right but I also used them to give the date circle a little extra pizzazz.  The gorgeous vintage felt flower is also from Creative Charms.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great week!

Sharing some of my Creative Charms LOVE!

I am so thankful for having this opportunity to Guess Design Post for Creative Charms. I really needed the creative time since all I have been doing this pass couple of months is driving cross country, entertaining my little ones, moving, unpacking and now getting my house settled and finally feeling like home.

Anyway I am here to show you some of my current LO's using some lovely Creative Charms pearls and bling. I can never get enough of them. They are just the perfect thing to add to a LO to make it feel like it's finish. Just a little touch to add high impact.

Beautiful!

You can see how I just added a pink flower bling to add some attention to the flowers. With the papers being so blue I still wanted it to feel girly. I think it worked out great.

Here's another close up.

Another LO using tiny black vintage pearls.

And some cards of course.

Well that is it folks. I hope you have enjoyed some of my work that I have created lately. It was really great being able to come back and post something here. I have missed you all.

Have a great day!

I cut the schoolhouse on my Cricut using SCAL (Sure Cuts Alot). File is from SVG Cuts - School Days SVG Kit. It was so incredibly easy to cut and assemble!

And of course adding the Creative Charms products makes everything special! Papers are from AC Cardstock, BoBunny & DCWV.

If you have little (or big) ones heading back to school - hope it is a great experience!

You Make My Heart Sing!

Hello everyone! Hope you had an awesome weekend, I sure did!

I know that in between getting the kids ready for going back to school is probably consuming a lot of time. In between school supply lists, getting some cute new clothing and shoes....who has time to hit the scraproom?

I'm here to show you some easy to make cards using fabulous bling and flowers from Creative Charms and my Cricut Imagine. (yes, I actually dusted it off....I need to show DH his investment wasn't in vain, ya know!)

I cut out the designs with my Cricut and decided to spice up the already nice art with some bling just to make details that ordinarily would blend in pop right out at you. See the blinged out musical notes and the heart?

in this close up you see that I used various sizes of the blue gradient gem stickers, you see a bit of the pink and white sparkled flowers, and some of that gorgeous polka dotted scalloped ribbon. Who knew that one little card can contain so many pretty details?

Here you see more of the gems and that pretty stitched flower. The packaging contain different sizes. How cool, right?

Hope that you're inspired to try a quick easy little project using Creative Charms!

Happy Crafting!

Guest Designer- Kim Moreno

I'm so excited to be asked back to be the guest designer this month for Creative Charms! I can say it was hard to choose from all the wonderful embellishments they offer and what exactly I was going to order and use for this month!

Here is a layout that I used several Vintage items on... I love the way the flowers and brads look all collaged together!

Then I used one of these super sweet crocheted flowers as the center of my card:

Authentique & Groovy Petals

Authentique has burst onto the scene in the papercrafting world and I for one love their stuff!  Their "Blissful" line combines beautifully with my absolute favorite Creative Charms product: Yellow Groovy Petals.  I also used some Gradient Pearl Stickers including dyeing some of the white ones to be the coral color.  The next time you are working on a project with some beautiful patterned paper, why not check out Creative Charms and see what kind of unique embellies they can add to your project?

Have a Great Day!

Sew Cute!

Tried something new on this card, actually sewed the top layer on for a new look for me!  I really like how this turned out so I went out and bought a little sewing machine for my scraproom, shhh, don't tell my husband, he thinks I'm crazy as it is :o).  I use BoBunny Double dot CS for the card base, pink Bazzill for the first layer and BoBunny Back to Basics a gift of love for the top layer and the strip.  Love how double sided cardstock makes it sooo easy to coordinate your papers!  Birthday wishes was stamped using SU stamps and punch and then popped to give it dimension.  I completed the card with the CC Pink Sunflower and the little green daisies from the Fun Flowers.  Also added some white Gradient Pearl stickers on the upper left corner, love those pearls!  Hope you like how it turned out too!

A Christmas Card full of Bling!

Happy Tuesday!  August is already halfway over and school has started for many children.  It's time to really start thinking about Christmas cards if you are planning to make your own.  For my post today I decided to make a very sparkly card using many of the items included in the July Kit of the Month - Christmas in July.

I used a couple of the Christmas Multi-Dimensional Twinkle Stickers - the holiday sentiment is placed on a netting yo-yo...

...and this cute little present is placed under the tree.

There are lots of Gradient Gem Stickers decorating the Christmas tree, along with some of the stars from the Seasonal Sparkles  Stickers - Winter Words and Bling.  At the center of the tree design is a round red Vintage Jewel.

If you'd like more detailed information and instructions for making this card, you can find them on my personal blog, Capadia Designs.  You'll also find out about a little giveaway which you can enter to have a chance to win a Creative Charms prize.

Merry Crafting to you!

Guest Designer Trudy Sjolander's Projects

Hi Everyone!
True :D here.

I used to be a regular on the Creative Charms team so when Midori asked if I would like to be a guest designer this month, I jumped at the chance! I LOVE Creative Charms!
Basic Grey spoiled me by sending me a huge box of their latest releases to play with. They won't be in the stores for shipment until October so I'm a very lucky girl to have them! Luckier still is how perfectly the "Picadilly" papers match Creative Charm's -Amber Vintage Flower Buttons and Amber Gradient Gem Stickers.

Ranger Ink also sent me some fun stuff to play with including some Perfect Pearls Sunflower Sparkle Mist which I sprayed on the entire card, concentrating more on the floral grouping and embellishments. Gotta love that extra sparkle!
Remember, you can click on the pictures to enlarge for a closer look. :)

My next project is done with Basic Grey's "Little Black Dress" collection which will be on the shelves in October also. See how awesome Creative Charm's - Vintage Velvet Poppies go with it? I removed the white brad from the center of the larger one and replaced it with a Grey Vintage Pearl Brad. I also added a few Black Gradient Pearl Stickers to the label.

I almost forgot to mention the pretty Black and Silver Dotted Leaves that came in one of the past Kits of the Month. I love the Kits of the Month because there are sometimes different items that are only available in the kits. ;)

My final card was done for a Clean And Simple challenge that starts tomorrow for one of my other design teams. I thought I would share it here a day early! :)
I illustrated the "Fuzzy Ducky" clear stamp for Clear Dollar Stamps.

See the sweet little cornflower blue flowers he's holding? I had to keep it clean and simple but I didn't think a single flower that matches his flowers would hurt.
Here is a True :D tip: Buy extra white and clear embellishments so you can color them with your favorite medium to match what ever your little hearts desire.
In this case, I used a blue Copic marker on a White Sparkle Flower for the exact color I needed. I also hit the center gem with a touch of yellow Copic.

Well...that's it for me today.
Thanks Midori and girls for letting me pop back in and play awhile!

I would love it if you left me a bit of love below! :)

For a complete list of products used on these projects, head over to MY BLOG.
I am also giving away a Basic Grey's Picadilly Page kit before it is even available to the general public plus some extra goodies from my stash so come on over! :)

Hugs,
True :D

Altered Silver Brooch Box using Vintage Jewels on special this week!

Hi everyone! I'm SUPER excited to be back with you for another GREAT Creative Charms project today! You will not believe this but Creative Charms has a special this week--two specials actually...and it's MY favorite thing--BLING!! You get one of EVERY single gradient gem pack in the first special, and one of EVERY single Vintage gems in the second special. Yes this is one special that you could just use over and over! It's such a STEAL. I am not sure if they've sold out, since it's already Thursday--but you might hop over there and see at this special price!

Here is the first special of EVERY single color of Gradient Gems (these are self adhesive too which I love) for only 7.99 (This is a 30.00 value and includes TWELVE entire sets of gradient gems in all colors! eeeeek!

o
Here is the second special of EVERY single color of Vintage Gems (these are also self adhesive--be still my heart) for only 6.99 (This is a 22.50 value and I think it has 9 sets)

Now my awesome and amazing sister Karey has her birthday coming up August 20'th, so I wanted to make her something that included her birthstone, and was also beautiful and elegant like she is. So I found an antique silver small brooch box, and used the GREEN PERIDOT stones from both the Vintage gems and the Gradient Gems. I love it because the stones are the exact SAME peridot green!

I think it's wonderful when we can use our crafty stash in altered projects that otherwise would have no business in a crafty post! lol!

Here is the box that I have created for my sister's birthday (inside will be a special  lil monetary gift so she can do something NICE for herself). My sister's friend committed suicide two weeks ago and she is so sad and broken-hearted. I wanted to do something that would lift her heart.

Front of Box
Isn't this a GREAT way to use that bling! eeek! I know she will love it! So elegant and Victorian in nature.
Here is a pic of the top looking down.

Top of Box

How EASY peasy was that? I love that Creative Charms has the perfect embellishments to add just that special touch!

Okay so make sure you HOP over to my blog Getting Cricky! and leave me a comment there too. I'll choose one super special blog reader and follower to receive the ENTIRE Vintage Jewel set FREE! Don't worry you will want to stock up on these, so head on over and grab a set or two! If you win, you will be glad to have TWO of these fabulous deals! I still can't get over that they are 70%. Have a very special day today--and remember if you have little lost treasures or vintage finds...alter them! Make them your own--it really is a purposeful and fun art that is very green and really is one of a kind!

It's All In The Family

We recently got together for our Family Reunion. I created this layout to capture the fun of the day. Also featured the oldest and youngest members of the family on my layout.

I went Cricut-less for this project (I know not like me!) I used lots of stitching and the Creative Charms Deal of Month from May (Sparkling Garden of Delight) for this layout. All the Kits & Deals of the Month are 10% Off. Check out the great deals!

I used papers from DCWV Green Stack for this layout. I cut the flower from patterned paper to add as an accent. Here are a few closeups:

Isn't the little owl cute? And love how the Creative Charms are the perfect accent.

Thanks for stopping by today - enjoy the rest of your Summer & Happy Scrapping!
