Gradient Gem Stickers are a Treat!

It's almost October and I'm totally in a Halloween mood.  Today I created a fun little card showing off our fabulous Gradient gem Stickers!  I love these packs of gems because they include a variety of colors and sizes, it makes it so easy to use them on anything and everything!  I pulled out a variety of them in Black, Purple, Amber, and Green and used them as the stars of this card.  Don't you think they add a nice "wow" factor to a clean and simple card!?!  Thanks for joining us today!

Eek! Trick or Treat..

With Halloween just around the corner I thought I would do a 2 page spread and be ready for the big day!  The DP used was from DCWV Ghost and Goblins collection and the CS is of course Bazzill, my favorite.  Love textured CS!

I made the die cuts with my Cricut Expression and the cuts are from SVGcuts.  I love glitz so of course I had to use Glitter Paper from Bazzill and Stickles!

Also used various Gradient Gem stickers from the Amber collection to accent the die cuts.  I also added  the Vintage Halloween Self-Adhesive Metal Stickers.

Here are some close-ups of the die cuts...

Winter Cards filled with gems

Time and time again I reach for gradient gem stickers, vintage jewels and other sparkly items in my Creative Charms stash to make my cards shine.  A simple design embellished with gems is always impressive and very easy to create.

Both of these cards are made with cuts from the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.  The round card has 23 red gradient gems stickers in two shades of red and all three sizes.

The smallest green gradient gem stickers decorate the scalloped front of this card...

...with tiny red gradient gem stickers accenting the sentiment.

This Winter card features one of my original snowflake designs enhanced with blue and white gradient gem stickers and a round clear vintage jewel.

The "winter" word is from the Seasonal Sparkles Stickers - Winter Words and Bling.  This set also contains snowflakes and stars and is available on a buy one, get one free special right now on the Creative Charms website.

If you'd like more details and directions for making these cards, please visit my personal blog, Capadia Designs.

Have a wonderful sparkly day!

Deal of the Month Fun

Hi everyone!

Lisa here!  Having two girls, this month's Deal was right up my ally.  I just adore all the pink accents were put together to create this kit.  Add the great black pieces in and you can't go wrong.  I used several pieces from this kit as accents on my layout below.

As you can see, I used several of the pink flowers from the kit to embellish the layout.  I also created the circle on the bottom left using the black rhinestones from the kit.  The technique is really simply.  Cut a circle from scrap paper and place in desired location on your layout.  Then place rhinestones around the circle in equal intervals.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful week!

Quote Collage

I created this shadowbox collage for a friend of mine at work. We both took a class together and had to come up with our life’s mission. Her mission is actually from a song (not sure of the artist).

I used the Creative Charms Kit of the Month for this project. The braided daisies matched the fancy pants paper perfectly. The vintage brad & gradient pearls are not part of the kit but they are Creative Charms as well. I printed out the wording on my printer using the font Hallmark. The frame is 5x7 from Joanns.

Here is a look at the entire kit and info on it’s contents:

Pink & Black - 26 Piece Kit of the Month

Each Kit Contains:
  • Pink Groovy Petal Medley - 8 Pieces
  • Pink Braided Daisy Medley - 4 Pieces
  • Pink Sequin Trimmed Butterfly - 2 Pieces
  • Black Sparkled Butterfly - 4 Pieces
  • Black & White Netted Flower - 4 Pieces
  • Black & Silver Dotted Leaf - 4 Pieces
Everything for Only $ 14.99

A few closeups of my project:

I am pretty sure she will love this and it will help her to remember her mission so she can live by it. Now...maybe I should do one of my mission?!?

summery thoughts....

Hello all!

I know we're approaching fall and scrapping back to school photos, but this chilly weather I'm experiencing is making me think warmer, happy thoughts! Thoughts of summer!

I love combining and layering embellishments, and creative charms has the perfect embellies to do so. I took some brads and layered sequins underneath.

come and take a closer look!

Don't you love the pretty details on that butterfly?

Thanks for stopping by! Happy crafting.

Brightening a Teachers Day

One of my fellow teachers had a rough day with yucky messes to clean up.  She's a brand new teacher and I felt so bad for her!  I was trying to think of something to brighten her day and remembered I had picked up some extra hand soaps from Bath & Body Works.  I told my hubby I was going to give her a little card with it...but that it was of course going to have to be cute and handcrafted.  Here's what I came up with...
The tag is an old one from the Target dollar spot.  The letters had to be tiny to fit and say "I Hope Today is Less Messy."  I added some of the great butterflies the pink Blooming Garden set.  I also added some Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon in yellow, green, and pink.

And here's what it looked like tied on to a matching soap bottle of course :)  Teachers work so hard - I love to try to find lighthearted ways to encourage them!  Thanks for joining us today!

Pink & Black Kit of the Month

The September Kit of the Month offers some beautiful accents for card making or scrapbooking!  I used the Black & White Netted Flower and the Black Sparkled Butterfly on this birthday card.  I also used the Pink Vintage Jewel Brads on the center of the "flowers" on the card stock.  The sentiment was stamped on white card stock and then cut using a spellbinders oval die and accented with a scalloped oval die.  Pop dots gave it a little added dimension.  The Kit of the Month offers a variety of embellishments to use on your pages and cards.  Have fun using them!

Kit of the Month – 26 Pieces - $14.99
·         Pink Groovy Petal Medley – 8 Pieces
·         Pink Braided Daisy Medley – 4 Pieces
·         Pink Sequin Trimmed Butterfly – 2 Pieces
·         Black Sparkled Butterfly – 4 Pieces
·         Black & White Netted Flower – 4 Pieces
·         Black & Silver Dotted Leaf – 4 Pieces

Pretty Pink and Black Bling

The Pure Blossoms are one of my favorite Creative Charms embellishments.  There are several colors included in September's Deal of the Month.   This deal is called "Pink and Black Bling" and has 235 pieces for only $6.99 so you won't want to miss it!

I used two colors and three sizes of the pure blossoms on this party invitation.  The pink and black color scheme would be great for a sweet 16 party.

Pure Blossoms come in many more colors, you can see them all HERE.

I used a few other items from the September Deal of the Month for more pink and black cards.  The Pink Sequin Flowers are wonderful accents for a simple sentiment.

The Pink Vintage Jewels and some Gradient Gem Stickers really dress up this medallion cut.  These two cards appeared on the Scrappy-go-Lucky blog yesterday and you can see the full cards HERE.

Here is one more card that I made with Pure Blossoms about a year ago.

These faceted flowers make a simple card very elegant and eye-catching.

I hope you are having a great week.  Be sure to stop over to my personal blog, Capadia Designs, if you would like more details about any of these cards.

Creative Basic Vintage

Happy Monday everyone!

Lisa here.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  I was lucky enough to get to spend Saturday night scrapbooking with my sweet 12 year old.  She has been dying to go to a crop and was thrilled to find out that now that she is 12 she can.  So we packed up all of our supplies and headed over to the scrapbook store.  I didn't get a whole lot of scrapbooking done but I did get to spend some great quality time with my girl.  I did manage to get two Creative Charms cards done though.

I found this gorgeous paper from Basic Grey and was instantly inspired.  It worked so perfectly with the pink Velvet Poppies by Creative Charms.  A few black gradient gems on the chipboard tag gave it a finishing touch.

The second card I created reflects my adoration of Creative Charms pearls.  I just can't get enough of them. :)

Enjoy your week and thank you so much for stopping by!!!
