Summertime Fun

Ever hear of an ATC? They are small in size - 2.5 x 3.5 inches. ATC stands for Artist Trading Card. Here are some I made for a swap over on SVG Cuts Forum Swap. The theme was Summertime. I had plenty of inspiration after being at the beach for 10 days!

I used shells I gathered from the beach. I also used Creative Charms Gradient Gems, Vintage Jewel Brads & Gradient Pearl Stickers. All the paper was cut on my Cricut using Sure Cuts Alot - the files were from SVG Cuts Tropical Friends Collection. Here is a quick card I put together - so fun to embellish with Creative Charms!

Hope your summer is going great and hope you are keeping cool during the heat waves that are coming thru. Have a great weekend!

Birthday Cake & Ice Cream

Hi everyone! I trust that you're all enjoying this summer heat as much as I am. Today actually isn't as bad as it was last week during that heatwave!

I have a layout to show you! I really love how no matter what occassion/theme you scrap/create with, Creative Charms has something that will go beautifully!

This birthday layout has so many pretty colors in it...and looking through my DT stash I had lots to pick from. It was really hard restraining myself from using them all!

This Pink Groovy petal medley flower is just the right touch of bubble gum cuteness.

This pink sequin trimmed butterfly looked sooo dreamy to me, kind of reminded me of a birthday wish!

also used vintage jewels in light green and this pretty green & white fancy polka dot ribbon.

Thanks for taking a look!

A Farewell Joy Card

I've really enjoyed my term with Creative Charms, but I'm sad to say this is going to be my last post.  Everyone has been so wonderful and I really hope I will have the chance to work with CC again in the future...their products are super cute and they are just great gals.

For my farewell project I made this JOY card using July's kit of the month.  Honestly there are so many adorable embellishments included in the kit to make Christmas projects super easy.

Be sure to get your Christmas in July kit before the end of the month to start your holidays projects now.

Hot Summer Products

Hi all!  Christine here on a scorching hot summer day.  Don't these kinds of days make you want to stay inside and craft all day long?  The deal of the month for July is full of lots of great summer products.  Today I'm showing you some of the orange flowers from it.  They coordinate beautifully with the products I used from Pebbles and Fancy Pants.  Best of all it's an amazing deal at just $6.99.
If you're hiding out inside to beat the heat, I'd love to have you stop by my blog!  Have a fun filled weekend!

Joy to the World!

I'm getting an early start on my Christmas cards this year so here are 2 samples of what I've done so far.

This first one features the Christmas Twinkle stickers found in the July Kit of the Month! I love the simplicity of this card especially for mass production!  It is a 3 1/2 x 8" white cardstock scored at every 1/4 " and "JOY" is mounted on white and silver squares.  The red ribbon background finsishes it off perfectly.

This A2 size card is made with green Bazzill card stock and various DP from my stash and the edges are inked with Desert Sand from CTMH to give it a distressed look.  I used the "JOY" once again but this time from the Winter Chipboard stickers.  Finished it off with a red and a green button with gold embroidery floss for the "stitches".  Two simple but beautiful cards that can be made quickly when you have to mass produce a Christmas card!

More Christmas in July

Hi, it's Diane today and for my projects this week I used the July Kit of the Month, "Christmas in July" which is full of great elements for your holiday cards, layouts and other projects.

The Kit includes a set of Christmas Multi-Dimensional Chipboard Stickers and these make a perfect focal point for a card.  For the Snowman card, I created a card base from a shape on the Cricut "Lacy Labels" cartridge and popped on this adorable snowman - the entire piece is already sticky on the back so it stays very well adhered.

Some white cardstock, punched on the edge with a snowflake border punch and embossed with snowflakes adds to the wintry effect.  The snowflakes from the Winter Seasonal Sparkles are a perfect match for the punched border.

The Christmas Chipboard Stickers make card making so easy.  Here I used craft cardstock and added some embossed gold cardstock for some nontraditional color and some white pen stitching around the edges.

The expression on the reindeer's face is very sweet and the chipboard works well with kraft cardstock.

The third card I have to share today has a bit of a retro feel.  I used one of the Christmas Multi-Dimensional Twinkle Stickers for the sentiment and placed it on a red banner.  The border at the top is punched with a wide Martha Stewart border punch and accented with red Vintage Jewels and Gradient Gem Stickers.

The twinkle backing around the sentiment adds lots of sparkle to the card.  These stickers are also fully adhesive and easy to use.

With such hot weather in so many places this week I hope this touch of the holidays helped you to keep cool!

Summer Slumber

Hi everyone,

Lisa here.  I have been trying to catch up on some layouts this summer.  One of the things I wanted to document was the fact that my girls have decided that this summer was going to be one big slumber party.  They have spent every night since school let out on the floor of the guest room.  Here is the layout I created.

It is no secret that I have a huge love for Creative Charms Gradient Gems.  I have to use them on just about every project. I also created a unique embellishment using one of the vintage frames   and added a velvet poppy as well.

Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a great week!

Collage - B&W with Brights

Hey everyone - I have a wedding invitation collage to share with you today. The invitation is black and white with teal accents. I also incorporated the colorful wedding party flowers in the shadowbox frame.

I thought I would incorporate Creative Charms Gradient Gems (Black & White) to tie in the flowers into the black & white theme of the invitation. It not only accents the flowers but also added them in varying sizes to the scallop I cut on the Cricut. I thing the black accents help to tie everything together.

Here is a closeup:

I get my shadowbox frames at Joanns and Michaels. One key to creating shadowboxes is to add dimension. I use foam core behind large areas and foam tape behind small elements. Give a shadowbox along with Creative Charms a try. Thanks for stopping by today!

Picture Perfect!

Hi everyone!

During the summer there are always activities out there to present photo ops. Even if there isn't anything special going on, a cute summer outfit can bring on an impromptu photo shoot! (Especially if your child's such a ham, like mine!)

July's Deal of the Month has pretty embellies to play up a summery layout. The pretty colors, the flowers, the BUTTERFLIES!!! Oh, and we can't forget the BLING. This kit+cute summery photos= a perfectly cute layout! Take a look:

I have to apologize for how dark it looks, no matter how different I take the pix, it comes out the same.

I am in love with these pretty butterfly brads. they add dimension in an unexpected way. they're packaged with matching flower gems that can be used with the butterflies or you can save them for something else!

Can we just say "Oh fabulous bling!" These gradiated gems are something I love adding to most everything.

blingy gradiated gem brads are another fabulous way to add more shine!

last but not least, these Groovy Petals flower brads are totally adorable. the best part: you can take them apart! I took a big flower off one of the brads and added it to the back of a smaller one for a layered effect.

Don't forget to tote the camera along as you're running out to do your fave summer activities. You never know what project a cute photo and these adorable products can produce!!!

Have Fun!!!

A Rainbow of Colors

Creative Charms has such great variety available for color choices in all sorts of embellishments.  For my project today I set out to showcase that variety.  Rainbows are all over the place in papercrafting now, so of course I wanted to get in on the action!   I created my rainbow using all old scraps of paper.  I pulled out three or four of each color and just started tearing and placing them where I wanted them.  After I placed my picture and title down I pulled out my pile of Creative Charms goodies.  I started by picking one bigger flower in each color and putting those down on the rainbow.  I then added gradient gems in various sizes.  I love the variety of dimension all the fun Creative Charms goodies added.  This was also a great way to use up some of those packs of flowers that I had just one or two left of!  I have to mention that I used my last yellow Groovy Petal - originally looking at those I wasn't sure how much I would use them.  But they match so many manufacturer papers out there and it has a unique look it's been the easiest to use and become a favorite of mine!

Thanks for visiting us today at Creative Charms - Have a fabulous weekend!

Birthdays and Butterflies!

I am so in love with these adorable Butterflies from the 3-D Sparkly Garden Brads from the Deal of the Month.  They add just a little bit of whimsy to this card.  I also used the Orange Fancy Felt Flowers on the stamped leaves and the Purple Fancy Polka Dot Ribbon as an accent on this card.  I love this embossing folder for this card because it provides the perfect backdrop for the inset.

This center fold step card was such fun to make.  I love cards that are unique and different.  I also used the 3-D Butterfly on this card but this time in the green and  included the Sparkly Floral gems from the 3D Sparkly Garden Brad collection.  The same stamp was used for the stem on this card.

"Girlfriend" Cards

Hi, it's Diane today with a couple of cards to share with you.  I hope everyone had a great Fourth of July celebration.  I thought you might be a bit overloaded on red, white and blue so today I went with a pink and black color scheme for some "girlfriend" cards.

The items in the Simplicity line are all on sale at 70% off - they won't last long.  These black and white Shimmer Flowers are a great addition to any card.

This card is meant to be used for giving a gift card and there is a pocket inside to hold the card.

I added a few black Gem Stickers to balance the card.  The pink cardstock is embossed with the "D'vine Swirls" Cuttlebug folder.

The second card is stamped and heat embossed with pink glitter embossing powder.

One of the Black Sheer Flowers with Iridescent Pearls is perfect for the center of the stamped flower.  I added some purple Gradient Gem Stickers for a little more sparkle on the flower and in the lower right corner.

If you'd like more details about these cards, you can find them on my blog, Capadia Designs.  I hope you have a wonderful day!
