Hi! Sandra here to present my November project. I was thrilled when I opened my package of Creative Charms goodies this month and yes, I let out a "woohoo" when I saw the November Kit of the Month - Holiday Wishes! This is a great kit full of fun and festive products that you will want for your projects!
OK, so I know that it is not even Thanksgiving yet but I just could not wait to use some of the great embellishments from the Holiday Wishes Kit to create this two page Santa prep layout.
Every Christmas eve we come home from church, get into our cozy Christmas jammies and prepare for the jolly guy's arrival. My son tosses out magic reindeer food on our front lawn before heading inside to plate some cookies and pour some milk for Santa. My husband lights up the Christmas tree and I'm in charge of cutting up an apple for the jolly guy's nine furry buddies! We then brush our teeth, snuggle into bed, and read "Twas the Night Before Christmas". I love our Christmas Eve traditions! On the left page I used my Gypsy and Expression combo to cut out the letters for the title Santa Prep. I used the Gypsy font for the word Santa and Lyrical Letters for the word prep. Of course I had to bling up Santa with some green gradient gems.
I used the green green polka dot ribbon across the top of the 2 pages. I know what you are thinking - how could you use the ribbon across two 12 inch pages when it is only 18 inches long? Well, I used one the adorable Winter Chipboard stickers at the top of the page and cut the ribbon and separated it on both sides of the chipboard sticker. (There is no ribbon behind the chipboard sticker, shh, don't tell.) The chipboard sticker had Happy Holidays on it but I covered it up with the Be Merry Christmas Twinkle sticker to go with the green Merry pattern paper I used for this layout.I added two cute Christmas Vintage Metal frames to finish the left page.
The right page
On the right page I used a Christmas Vintage Metal frame at the intersection of the green and red polka dot ribbons and two of the Winter Chipboard stickers (that I added a few gradient gems to) above the 8X8 photo.
I finished this page with a Christmas Eve rub on and of course some more bling!
I love this kit! I did this layout and I still have a lot of goodies left to create more projects. I see Christmas gift card holders for my son's teacher, principal and school secretary in the not too distant future. Check out my blog, Scrappin' Mom of 1, in a week or so to see what else I create using this great Holiday Wishes kit!
Thanks and have a great day! :o)
